Discovery Cove - Dolphin swim

Hi,

I have booked a Discovery Cove this trip. Any hints, tips and feedback as it seems like a lot to lay out for my family just for one day...

Some tips!
Get there as soon as or just before it opens! Amazing how many people want to check in at the same time!

Get the staff at the wet-suit counter to guess the size of the suit you need. Unless you are built like a model of course!:(

If the kids hate the feel of the snorkel tube in their mouths, split up, and someone take that child down to the shallow end of the stingray pool. Great fun wading with the fish and feeding the stingrays! Also, if said child has temper tantrum, make sure they don't get sand in their mouth!

Time the dolphin swim for just before lunch if possible!

Relax and enjoy the swim, it is the most fantastic experience!:D

Make sure the kids like birds, a brightly coloured bird landing on your head can be quite a shock!:eek:

Lunch is good and well-prepared, just be ready to hunt for cutlery!

Do NOT faint with shock at the price of the video!

Be very prepared for a long wait to use the shower rooms at the end of the day:)

Make sure you know exactly where your locker is, and the combination code you use to lock it! Great fun hunting for a locker when you are not exactly sure of the number:(

Most importantly, have a terrific time!

remove all jewelry before you leave ....you cant wear any with the dolphin swim ....dont forget toe rings i did and i lost it in the sand

We practised snorkling in the warm pool where there wasnt any fish and you could sit down and put your face under water .

Dont eat lunch at lunch time ...when we went it started at 11 am until 4 pm

Look for the guy with the worms in the aviary ...they are still alive and wiggle like mad but the birds love them

we lost our locker twice :(

when we went it actually opened at 8 am so call them the day before to find out what time it actually is opening.

I found it the most exciting and relaxing day of the holiday :D
