universal resorts

Going to Universal in July. We are great fans of Disney and Universal, exp Island of Adventure. However we have never stayed on site at Universal. We are looking at a club level room at Royal Pacific is it worth the money and which of the 3 on site hotels you would suggest. I have 4 boys 19,18,13,11.. Grandma will also be traveling with us.. ANY SUGGESTIONS!!!

We stayed at the Hard Rock in April with our 12- and 14-year old sons. Friends of ours with three boys roughly the same ages were there, too. We liked the Hard Rock because it was so close to the parks--an easy, safe walk, no waiting for boats or buses. It's a beautiful hotel, but lots of kids are there, so mine didn't feel out of place. The boys loved the pool, although they felt the arcade wasn't much to get excited about--unlike the one at All Star Movies, where we spent the first part of the vacation. I would highly recommend the Hard Rock!:D

Hi wakeatty - Welcome to the boards!

All 3 Universal hotels seem very well appointed, with nice size rooms.

We are staying at Royal Pacific in October. minniefan wrote a review entitled Quick Royal Pacific Review (sorry, I don't know how to link to it - use Search facility) that helped me with my decision.

Still have not booked rooms.. But need to do so soon. My biys really want to stay at HRH so I think i might be out numbered here.. lol
