Hello Everyone!!!
I know this os probably an overdone topic, however I am a first timer on this Message Board. I am going on my honeymoon in late June and was looking for some tips on how to make it the best week and a half of my wife to be's life!
We will be staying in the park at the Carib. Beach Res. and will be going to Discovery Cove midweek, other then that, we are going to stay within WDW.
I have heard about the Bride and Groom hats, and I know that is a must, and have alread made PS at the California Grill on our first night, but was looking for more tips!! If you have a minute and would like to help me out, please leave a message here or email me!!
Thanks so much!!

Matt-
we honeymooned at Disney in November of 2001... and had a wonderful time. No matter what you do it will be perfect- we had a honeymoon package- so got special watches and pins to identify us- also the honeymoon coordinators called us prior to our trip and did a full agenda for us complete with all reservations. Every restaurant we went to- went out of their way to give us prime seating and special desserts or complimentary wine- as they already knew we were on our honeymoon..... It truely made it very special............The hats were cute for a picture- but a bit "too much" for us...............Dinner at California Grill was great- we got window seats and a perfect view of the fireworks....Enjoy- there is so much to do- you can't go wrong...

Hi,Matt:)
I found Disney's Boardwalk area romantic and they have a nice selection of restaurants and clubs.
I think my favourite romantic thing to do at Disney would be watching the Floating Electrical Water Pageant on Bay Lake / 7 Seas Lagoon Perhaps after Dinner at one of the MK resorts?

Matt, we sent our DD and SIL to WDW for their honeymoon; bought them the bride and groom ears; and gave them both T-shirts to wear... I wish I'd thought to make them bride and groom T-shirts, however! I've seen several newlywed couples wearing the cutest bride and groom T-shirts! And we always wish them the best when we see them in the parks!
As a matter of fact, we first learned about the ears by sitting next to a couple at a WDW show. They told us they had just gotten married and where they bought the ears. I spent the next two days prowling around WDW trying to find some to buy for DD and SIL-to-be! Finally on our last day - that evening as we were leaving the park - a push cart with wedding ears on it was up near the exit!
WDW is a fabulous place to celebrate and I hope your honeymoon is marvelous! Take lots of photos! And be sure to have others take photos of the two of you!

It's a wonderful place it really is!
The more I think back on it, the more things I remember about it.
The most important thing as wdwgrandma says, is to make sure you wear something like tshirt or ears to let people know you've just got married.
One of my favourite parts of being married at WDW was being congratulated by just hundreds of people. I had my hand shook SO many times, and hugs for Helen along with people shouting congratulations everywhere we went.
Actually, being the old cynic that I am ;-) I was really amazed at how people were so ready to just walk upto us and talk to us. Really brought magic to our wedding.

This post might go on for a while!!!!!!!!
I was in WDW in Marh 2006 for our honeymoon. I'll list the things I did for my wife and the things that happened.
- I surprised her the night before by staying in the airport hotel. She thought we were going straight to the airport that on the morn ing of out flight. I suprised her when she got home from work by telling her we were really going that evening. We stayed in an executive room.
- We were booked into the V.I.P lounges on both legs of the journey. Nothing overly special but meant that it was relaxing when waiting for out flight.
- I paid to pre-reserve our seats and got the ones with extra leg room.
- I ordered a bottle of champagne and chocolates for her on the flight out to WDW.
- When we arrived at the hotel flowers that I had ordered from the WDW florists had arrived for her. The lasted in the room for the whole two weeks. She got a vase to take home with her as a keepsake.
- I also made us both t-shirts that she knew nothing about. On out first morning they got us noticed and at the front of the Magic of Disney Parade. Everyone clapped us as they saw the back of our t-shirts with 'Just married' on it. We also got a certificate and badges to say we were on our honeymoon.
- I also surprisewd her with breakfast with Pooh etc at Crystal Palace in MK and evening meal at California Grill in Contemporary resort. (Word of advice, book early and as close to 9pm as possible. Then you can watch the fireworks from the roof of the hotel.)
- We were also clapped by about 3,000 people at the indiana Jones stunt show when picked to take part. That was quite an experience!!!!
We also went to Dicovery Cove and swam with the dolphins. That was quite an experiece in itself. Don't think I did much more.
Hope this is useful for you!!!
Anything else you want to know then don't hesitate to ask, after all, that's what we are here for!!!
