I think i have checked everywhere for this info ....can anyone tell me what the nominal fee is to pay to pet the dolphins/feed the dolphins at Seaworld?

We are hoping to get an Orlando Flex tkt, the four park one.......does the extra day at seaworld apply with this tkt also?(If i have it right it includes IOA ,US,SEAWORLD and WETNWILD.

There's no fee just to pet the dolphins but you tend to have a hard time getting them to come to you if you don't have any food in your hand.

Last time I was there (2001) it was $4 for a tray with 4 or 5 fishies in it. Once the dolphins see/smell these they come right up to you. Then of course you get the bug and have to get more fish and if you're not careful the nominal fee can rocket into serious wallet damage.

If I remember rightly!!!
It cost $5 for 2 trays of food and the kids had no trouble petting the Dolphins!! That depends on crowds of course!!!

1 tip I remember the trainer telling us was pet them under their mouth. He said how would we like it if somebody kept banging on our heads!!!!;) Fair point I thought!!!!:D

Yes, they do 'cones' of about 4 or 5 fish which you can feed to the dolphins, it costs $4 (as at January this year).

Whitequeen, are you sure you're not thinking of the rays? ;)

Another word of warning, there are plenty of birds nearby who will gladly swoop down and take the fish from your hand if you're not careful, try to cover the cone as much as possible, we found it certainly helped in not getting attacked by vicious birds!

Lol!! Lavender, they were definately Dolphins!!:hehe:

I remember thinking DD & DS can have one each and I wasn't searching for change. They weren't in cones though they were on polystyrene trays and it was 1 for $3 or 2 for $5. (the food not the dolphins!!!)

Anyway they did the trick we petted the Dolphins!!!:hehe:

You basically have two options:

Less expensive is as stated, pre-purchase trays of fish and position yourself near the edge of the pool. Best time is first thing in the morning, when the pool will be less crowded and the Dolphins are hungry. Later in the day it get's very crowded.
There will also be photographers floating around to sell you pics for a fee. These are expensive, but make a good pic

More expensive is to pre-book an excursion to Discovery Cove where you get to swim with the critters.

It was like a dream come true when I fed & stroked the dolphins the only bad thing was when a stupid bird decided he wanted my last fish!!! Nearly knocked me over and everything but I still had my fish!!! I was debating whether to keep it for my WDW memory box lol but then I smelt the fish.........Eeeeeeewwwwww:hehe: :hehe:
