They have a bus service from CDG to DLP! Unless you really want to go in a taxi. In which case I have no idea I'm afraid.

I don't fancy the bus with 18 month old DS. He won't sit still for 2 minutes.
I know the train is quite fast, but they're not very frequent, and then you've got to get the bus to your resort.
If you're going to pay £9 each for the bus, or however much for the train , then you might as well pay a little extra and have a quick and easy journey in a cab.
I expect you would have to be careful that the cab drivers don't rip you off, as they would know you're foreigners :(
I'll try to get hold of a number at CDG where I can talk to someone who speaks English.

I've had an e mail from CDG to say that a taxi would cost 50 - 55 Euros.

Hello,
I hope it's OK to jump in. I too, wondered about the taxi fare from CDG to DLP. If one multiplies the RER fare by number of passengers, does not the taxi ride become more and more economical? Also, I understand there is a shuttle (VEA) from CDG to DLP and the cost is Adult 14 euro and child (3-11) 11.5, (free under 3 yo). Any thoughts? Thanks.

Hi Jet,
Taxi fare from CDG to DLP one way is approx 40€. This is the VEA transport bus. The train works out more expensive, especially if you are travelling peak time.

I would do the bus. There were a ton of kids on the bus when we went. The drivers are really friendly and speak English, and you know you're not going to get ripped off.

just a quick note to say that at busy times you may not get on the first bus that comes as they get very crowded, so if youre at the last terminal they pick up at you have little chance of getting on, if I was to do it again i'd get a taxi

Having been to DLP 6 times flying into CDG and having used both options this is my experience.
The taxi rank is very well operated (the one we used was at Terminal 9 where Easyjet fly into) - with a queuing system with staff calling taxis to the stand. Our most recent visit last year cost 70 euros each way. The longest we have waited is 10 mins.
This included the charge per piece of luggage including pram. You then have to pay a tip.
The VEA shuttle bus operates every 45 minutes and for a family of four I feel the convenience of the taxi is worth it - not much difference in the cost.
On two of our visits we have just missed a bus and then not got on the next one. The bus stop (where Air France and BA fly into - terminal 1 I think) is outdoors with no protection from rain (speaking from experience of being soaked waiting on a visit in July!!) The bus stops at all the hotels so this lengthens your journey time.
You can also get the train direct to Marne La Valee - have never used this option so cannot comment.
Hope that helps - you'll have a great time whichever way you choose.

Hi Redkop
If you haven't been since '93 - you are in for a surprise!!
We first went in 1997 for its 5 year celebrations and have been regularly since then.
It is a fab place - my only grievance is as I am a shareholder I have lost a fortune. Bought shares when they floated at £7.07 each and they are worth about 30p each today.
Company is in a very poor situation at present - the recent annual report was grim reading. Can't understand it as it is always busy.
Have a great time when you go.
Oh and a tip as to where to find snow white - she is always riding the carousel when the park opens - but she has her Prince Charming with her!!

We were in DLP Dec '03. The timetable for the bus said that it left at 11.15 at 11.40 we were still waiting, along with what felt like hundreds of other people! The bus is 15 euros each way, we had a quote for a taxi which was 60 euros, so as there was 4 of us it was the same price. We opted for taxi to the hotel which meant we left immediately, but got the bus back to CDG.
However, when we asked about the bus on the morning of dept. the receptionist said that we should allow 2 1/2 hrs for the journey. So we did. It infact only took 40 mins and so we were left sitting in CDG for ages, and the facilities there are not the best!!

I spend a lot of time traveling to Paris for work (Unfortunatly not DLP) but the taxi ranks are very well organised (unlike the rest of the airport) but just a little warning not all the taxi drivers speak English and a lot drive like loonies. Approx 50- 70 euros would be my bet, we used the bus and it was fine, I would probably take this option but of course the choice is yours

Could I ask a question about the trains from CDG to DLP?
I've been onto the SNCF website, and it looks like there are direct TGV trains from the airport to DLP, and they only take 10 minutes, going by the timetable  BUT, the website says the tickets for that journey aren't available on the internet  so - does anyone know if there's any way you can book these tickets in advance from the UK?

reading in the brits guide to DLP it seems you have to purchase them at CDG and they vary in price depending if its rush hour or not........and it warns you on the journey back to make sure you get off otherwise you will end up in Belgium :D

Oh well, it looks like it'll be the shuttle bus this time again then :) . I just thought I'd be a nice change to get the train, and get there in 10 minutes instead of 40!
At least we won't have to worry about ending up in Belgium if we get the bus :D
