You guys are going to think I'm nuts, but I don't know anything about Universal Studios.
I just found out that they have a NASCAR cafe. NASCAR is something that my Mother is nutty about and I thought this would be another selling point for a WDW trip. The cafe is on Universal City Walk. Now..is this something like Downtown disney or is it in the park? Do I have to pay to get there? Basically I don't want to buy a park ticket to go and eat  , but I know my Mom would love it.
Thanks guys :)

City Walk is just like DD.
There is no admission fee, but some clubs charge a cover price.
Several of us on this site get lots of good info about all of Universal ay www.ioacentral.com :)

It is in Citywalk and you don't have to pay to enter Citywalk, but you do have to pay to park. There is currently a park free after 6 p.m. thing going on, but I don't know how long that will last.
NASCAR cafe frequently has stock cars out in front and sometimes has drivers make appearances. It is a pretty standard restaurant along the lines of Bennigan's or Ground Round (bar/lounge area and tables/dining/food). There are several video games inside and as I recall, it was pretty dark. But if your Mom is a NASCAR fan, she should like it!
Oh, by the way, there is nothing wrong with your question at all! :)

Sounds great guys! Thanks for the quick response.
DH and I saw a Nascar cafe in Vegas and my Mom was so upset that she would never get to see it. Since I am planning on dragging them to WDW next year anyway, this is a great surprise!

I don't know much about Universal or IOA either. I am thinking about adding some days for when me and DD go in Aug.

johnie -
We love Universal and IOA.:hearts: If your a roller coaster fan, some really good ones. My daughter loves the Huck and Dueling Dragons. I couldn't tell you about them, rollarcoaster scare the heck out of me. I also think the parks at Universal are more adult oriented. They do have a section in IOA after Dr. Seuss that looked fun for the little ones.
