dvc cards can be used for a discount at 20% at all swan/dolphin resturants except shulas, and 10% at yacht club galley( b & L) yachtman steakhouse (10% off dinner)-olivias at okw, narcosee's (GF) and at dtd - house of blues, planet holy, fulton's, portobello, rainforest cafe, & wolgang puck---- check because some are only lunch
disney club and annual passholders get disc at countries at epcot and a few more resturants. check the dvc member website to be sure!
ok! But don't you think as property owners! we should get a decent discount on passes, stores and resturants!
Lets face it ---many of us are their best customers! "Been there" many times and plan to return! even more now that we own DVC.
At DTD -you can get the 10% from Disney Club or AP
so- what about us!
and at the resorts .... only a few resturants acknowledge us-- so we do go the the Swan and Dolphin alot! And the parks? nothing!
But why not a better package for the 100,000 members of dvc

I agree 100%, after all we have spent enough money to purchase a time share, knowing that we would return they should give us decent discounts. Every restaurant that we ate at did not honor the DVC discount. I think every restaurant should give a discount, even if it is just 10%.
We should also get better pricing on the park passes, all of them, not just the lenght of stay passes. After all, what do they think we are going to do on our vacations but visit the parks.

Visit other places as well? This has long been a bone of contention amongst DVC members. It seems that once you've bought into the program, you are considered a captive audience so no further work needs to be done to "keep" you.
However, it can be argued that the DVC members are going to be the backbone of WDW in the immediate future (along with "local" traffic). If DVC members stay at their DVC resorts, yet spend their dollars elsewhere (off site restaurants, other attractions) then WDW may come to realize that this is a group of folks who need to be "courted." We'll see, but I'm not going to start holding my breath quite yet! :)
