First trip to Disney World, although I have been to Disney Land several times. My husband is not as big of a fan of Disney as I am, and feels that it is necessary to check out other attractions. We are definately going to Sea World. I am debating between Animal Kingdom and Busch Gardens. What do you think? Any advice would be helpful. We have a daughter that will almost be three at trip time. We are also traveling with my parents, my adult sister and brother.
Thanks

Bucsh gardens is good but so is AK. When we visit again next year were gonna give AK a miss and just visit BG. This is also to do with the fact that BG is good for Rollercoasters.
If you visiting other parks, make sure to visit IOA is excelent

We went to Animal Kingdom in 2000 and weren't that impressed. I think they have added a few rides/attractions since then but it certainly wasn't a full day for us in 2000.
We prefer B.Gardens which has loads more rides and a good balance of animal exhibits.

Dont think u can compare AK to BG as the disney park is really part of the kingdom where as BG is a kingdom itself and certainly more attractions than AK but i did like AK nice and relaxing:ears:

highlander has it right. The two parks can't be compared against each other. If you want a theme park with thrill rides and some animals, then BG is the place for you. If you want a beautiful park that is extremely detailed and offers everything from wonderfully kept animal habitats, shows, attractions, etc. then AK is for you. (I'm not biased or anything! ;) ). As the local tv adds say, it's Nah-ta-zoo! :D
Sea World does make a nice compliment to animal parks. It is a lovely park, very well kept and the exhibits are nicely done. I'm a newcomer to this park, having received an annual pass for a gift, so am just learning about it. Well worth the visit.

Having done both, given a choice, I'd go for BG every time. Disappointed with AK, which I believe is below par for Disney.
Saving grace was " Bug's life " which is superb.

Thank you so much everyone for your responses. Since we only have limited time, I think we will hit Busch Gardens and skip AK this time. Can't wait! By the way, what is IOA? I am a complete newbie when it comes to Florida attractions. Thanks

Keely,
Keep an eye on what type of ticket you are purchasing. If you invest in a Flex ticket (there are two types) then you admission to Busch Gardens can also be included, along with Wet 'n' Wild, Universal Orlando, Universal Islands Of Adventure (IOA) and Sea World.

Thanks so much for the advice. I will check out the flex tickets. I had not heard of Islands of Adventure - I'll research!

Depends on what your after. If your a thrill ride nut, then IOA is the best park in the world. The Spiderman 4D ride is in my opinion the best ride I have ever been on, until at least Space Mission opens in EPCOT.
