Hiya gang,
My DD is getting conflicting info.
Is there a 3 day cooling-off period upon arriving in Orlando, before you can get married?
Do you need to purchase a license before or after the wedding?
Thanks
Trev

yeah that one got us......from what i gathered off the virgin rep you can get your licence as soon as you arrive and you can even get married straight away......we actually left it 3 days before we got the licence and then got married 2 days later......the licence was dead easy to get.....just showed our passports....didnt even need to show my divorce papers .......filled in the form handed over our $88.50 and away we went

Hi there!
No cooling off period.... we checked and got the license on the day we got there. (as long as youre not a florida resident, I believe there's a waiting period or a course involved for them).
You must have the license before the wedding yep.... it's valid for something like 60 days
We arrived on friday morning, got the license and were married on the saturday.
Hope that helps,
Keith

Hi
How long do you have to wait at the Courthouse to get your Wedding Licence? Do they do it fairly quickly?
Thanks.
Claire:)

If I remember correctly, KeithOP said much the same. He and his Helen had hardly a wait. Although, they were entertained by another couple (or two?) who were there to get their license also. It made for a great story!
You might want to search trip reports for his during December of 2002.

I was amazed how efficient it all was actually! 20minutes in and out...
Then the certificates arrived in a couple of weeks. I think copies are $2 each but given all the places you have to send them/show them to update drivers license etc. having copies is a good idea. If you want to get copies, give the money to the officiant and he/she will enclose it when they sign the license and send it back to the courthouse.

Redkop, we did a virgin wedding too and the directions they gave us to the courthouse were unbelievably wrong! Luckily I always geta good set of maps when we go away so we were able to find it ok.
Our wedding gift from them was washing powder, indegestion tablets, moisturiser, some sweets and some coupons! No candles or party poppers for us I'm afraid.

Finally got the wedding certificate sorted - it had gone missing in the post from the Rev to the court house, so they've sent a new one to us in the UK to send it back to them to get him to resign etc etc......
