Please help (this will be our children's first time in America!).

Thanks for that!

I've just been looking through some of the other threads - did you get married at Cypress Grove as that's where we're getting wed?

1900 Park Fare is in the Grand Floridian hotel. The dinner is a buffet style with characters from Cinderella in attendance. Very elegant setting but the whole family will be welcome there.

my little girls are wearing blue bridesmaids dresses - one of them, who is 5, cant wait to be pictured with Cinderella.

Ah bless! Sounds like a really good idea - we want it to be a really fun, memorable day.

Have you booked your Cypress Grove Wedding through a tour operator?

sorry for delay in replying

We booked our package thro Virgin as we are travelling on holiday with them. They have 3 different levels of wedding package and we opted for the middle one which includes ceremony, brides bouquet, grooms buttonhole, cake, champagne and 36 photos.

They also send you a list of 'add-on' options and we picked the limo, extra flowers & button holes plus salon, services for me.

I have been so calm until this week and all of a sudden I feel excited, nervous and sick all at once. I have a million questions going thro my head and I feel that I am going to burst.

I am counting down landmark dates between now and the date we fly out:

27th May - pay day & final shopping spree (maybe)
1st week in June - open day for my DD who starts schoolin August
6th June - Hen night (At a Greek restaurant complete with dancing & plate smashing)
13th June - attending award ceremony for which my team at work has been shortlisted in 2 categories
14th June - my DD's dancing show
20th June - beauty treatments - pre holiday pampering

angela has reminded me to say we had silk flowers for her bouquet so she could bring them home.........cost extra but they take pride of place in the bedroom

Hi!

I hate to bring this up, but didn't Cypress Gardens close?

I thought I read about it about a month ago!

Sorry I don't want to worry anyone, but I would hate for you to find out when you arrive!

Take Care,
Aurora

yes it did Aurora but Cypress Grove Park seems to be still taking bookings for weddings. I would check with my tour operator though

Sorry! I hope I didn't unnesissarily scare anyone.

Cypress Gardens is closed. Cypress Grove is open!

Got the two confused. You all seem to be talking about Cypress Grove.

Sorry!

I've just realised I have forgotten the 21st May, when I shall be watching one of redkops favourite teams in the UEFA Cup Final (at the clubs ground!!!! - only found out today someone has got me a hospitality ticket to watch the beamback).

I know, imagine forgetting that! Have a beer for me that night too (especially if the Hoops win ;) ) I'd rather be my brother tho' he has flights and a ticket for Seville.

I can just see WDW just now if Celtic win, you will be able to spot all the fans a mile away with their UEFA winners T-shirts on. Its going to cost me a fortune for DS and DD who want new strips for their holiday!!!

:ears: Hi! Claire,

I am getting married at WDW on 9/24/03 so you will be there before me. I am trying to figure out where to have dinner, too. We are staying at Port Orleans-Riverside and we are getting married at 3:00pm also. I was thinking of going to Downtown Disney after the wedding and having dinner at "The Blues Brothers Cafe." The restaurants at Downtow Disney do not make reservations. This is only my 2nd time to WDW and we did not go to Downtown Disney the last time we were there. You cannot wear wedding attire in the parks and I want to wear my dress(not a wedding dress) to dinner. Where are you staying? I am glad to know of someone who is going down before me. You can tell me how it was.

Karenbe, I think you mean the House of Blues in DTD. There isn't any Blues Brothers that I know of. And what makes you think that you can't wear wedding attire in the parks?

Johnie

We've seen plenty of people in their wedding attire. LOL we saw a bride in her gown with the very long train at Chef Mickey's

I'll be wearing my wedding dress at 1900 Park Fare and then to watch the pageant & fireworks.

If I were you, I would go whereever seemed the best choice for the day to make it special.

One thought that has just occurred to me though is that I would like a nice glass of wine with my meal to celebrate my wedding but I am not sure if alcohol will be served at Cinderella's Gala Feast as it is a character meal - could anyone let me know?

Johnie

I saw people drinking wine at 1900 Park Fare in April

Thank you - I don't want much just a nice glass or two of bubbly to toast our vows.

About the only place at Disney that you can't get alcohol at Disney is MK. Although I also don't recall seeing it at Beaches & Cream.

Hi Karen

We're staying offsite at the Hilton Grand Vacations Resort SeaWorld, getting married on the 27th.

I really want to wear my dress for the rest of the day (it cost enough!!!):) but I don't want to look daft! It's a pain if you can't make a booking, I just want to book somewhere so that we're not walking 'round in our wedding gear trying to find somewhere to eat, drink and be merry!

I do like the idea of celebrating at one of the Disney Character restaurants.

Thanks for all your commentsx
