Has anyone renewed their wedding vows at WDW? If so, where? Was it formal or just the two of you? My 30th anniv. is coming up and I am thinking of doing this. Celebrated my 25th there, also. Thought about it then but didn't follow up on it. Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

I have not done this, but we are planning on doing it in December. We have been married about 5 years, but did not have a wedding, so I am going all out. I think it just depends on you and what you are comfortable with. With Disney, anything goes for vow renewals...you can treat them as formally or informally as you like.
I'd start at www.disneyweddings.com to get some info, and then to www.yourfairytale.com . You might also want to subscribe to the disneymooners, a group on yahoo. They are a group of people planning Disney weddings and VR's and have all kinds of info!
Have fun!

If you want something fun to do, and *very* informal, the Garden Grill in Epcot offers a vow renewal service. Your server comes over and "officiates" a mock service with the restaurant and 'character' witnesses (Mickey et al), and you seal the deal with a kiss to the count of 100.
Definately doesn't replace anything Aurora is talking about, but it sounds like a blast.

This sounds like something I might be interested in. Do you know how you go about arranging it? Thanks.

Ummmm, I'm not sure to which one of us you are talking to, but if it's me, call 1-407-WDW-DINE, ask to schedule a meal at the Garden Grill, and in your reservation, tell them you're interested in the Re-Hitching ceremony.
You can read more about it here:

The "Re-hitching" cermony at the Garden Grill costs $6.95 (the price of the Ice Cream Social) ....to renew your vows at the Wedding Pavillion at the Grand Floridian costs $3000:D
I had a rummage down the back of my sofa, and fell a little short of change for the GF, So Ice Cream Social it is!!
Have fun! Ours is booked for June 28th!

Actually, it costs $3000 to renew at any site they offer other than the Pavillion...such as Sunset Point, Sunrise Terrace, Seabreeze Point, and the Gazebo at the Yacht club...the cost includes 4 nights at a moderate resort.
To do it at at the Pavillion, it costs $3800. Also w/ 4 nights at a moderate.
I asked about upgrading to the Wilderness Lodge, W/ our ceremony at sunset point, and one more night. Came to aprox. $3600.
There are some extras included, such as the cake, a bottle of champagne, gift, etc., but basically this cost is just the ceremony, park tickets, and lodging.
If you lready have reservations at a resort, you can get the 'intimate wedding/vow renewal add on.' Includes everything as the other except lodging. Costs $2100. I forget if it includes tickets.Choices, choices.
Whatever you do, have fun!:sun:
