OOH Mickeymac, you'll have to give me all the details when you get back.

We were going to wait until next year, but are currently waiting to get our vacation approved and are going to go back this October for our anniversary again.

I just let DH know about the Fariytale package and he said well, sounds like a good deal, so we're going to go for 7 nights!!!!

Doesn't know. I'm putting it out of my mind so I don't screw it up somehow. He'd refuse to do it otherwise, and I'm just doing it to tease him. We had so much fun at his "surprise" birthday party at Chef Mickey's, and still talk about that day, that I'm hoping this will be as fun.

So how did this go?

DH and I are thinking about a trip in January for our 10th anniversary - NO KIDS. He really just wants to get the bride and groom mouse ears! We didn't get to have much of a honeymoon and it would be our first trip without kids. He actually brought up the topic of renewing our vows - I don't think this is really what he had in mind, but any of the other options are *definitely* out of my price range.

It was short, sweet, and *loud*!!

I don't know if Allie made it there that day - there were rumors of downpours and they'd had just enough of all the rain, but we went. I'd not planned to do it, but when we got there, there was a *wicked* loud commotion going on. I asked if it was a rehitching and she said 'no, that's even better.' DH looked at me and said "what are you thinking of?" and I said "nothing, I was thinking of doing it for our anniversary, but someone else from the boards is doing it."

The lady (I kind of got the idea that she was a manager) said "how many, how long" and wrote it all down, disappeared and said she was going to get ice cream. DH told her he was starving and all he wanted to do was eat (he had not eaten all day and it was 3 in the afternoon). Well, she said not to worry, she was going off to tell our server and she took off. I kind of thought she was just going to write us up one of those Magical Moments thing and let us alone.

Well, I noticed the server we had last summer came to the table, thought he was being polite and remembered us. Then someone else stopped by and I thought they were just killing time. Our server shows up with our order, and the woman comes right by and says "OOOOoooooOOOOOhhhh no! Before you eat that, we've got something to DO!" and pulls back the table.

Think of a loud cattle auctioneer on caffeine. Lots of caffeine. She bellows over the entire restaurant that they had themselves a genuine re-hitching, and wants everyone to turn and participate. Asks us to turn and face each other. Asks me if I remember what I said to DH when we got married 13 years ago and I squeaked "I do?"

"You sure about that?"

"Uh yeah, I do."

"Do YOU remember what you said on that day to her?"

"Yeah, is it too late to back out now?"

She teased him, got louder (I swear, I've never been soooo embarassed) then explained what a re-hitching was. That she didn't think the "old man" could hold out a kiss to 100, so they were going to count by 10's. She made us say our vows again. Again, I said "I do..." Again, he said "...is it too late..." She made him redo until he got it right, then they made us kiss while the *entire* restaurant counted and clapped to 100.

It was over very quickly, was very funny, and I think she would really have drawn it out if DH hadn't been so hungry, or me, so mortified. She was absolutely hysterical, albeit loud, and it made for a very fun event.

BTW - our anniversary dinner at Jikos was completely lovely and romantic, and also a very nice touch. They presented us with an anniversary card signed by all the Cultural Representatives in their native language.

We had a server from Chicago. THAT was a little unexpected. hehehee!
