Can anyone tell me if this restaurant is suitable for kids? I have read a few things about it and really like the sound of it! Does it have kids menu etc?

If we couldn't laugh we would all go insane!

There is nothing I can think of (as long as you eat before 10 when the live entertainment starts) that would be objectionable to kidlets.

You can find out lots of information on Jimmy (who's known to pop in from time to time and play a set) on his site, Margaritaville (http://www.margaritaville.com)

Jimmy's music rocks! (I was raised wastin' away :)) and the resturant is a lot of fun, have a Cheeseburget in Paradise. I like mine with lettuce and tomatoes.... Heinz 57 and french fried potatoes.....

Yes, there were loads of kiddies when we were there this past January. I didn't get a kid's menu ,, but I saw many little ones coloring on something, so I guess it was a kid's menu. It's a blast,, looks very much like Key West from the outside,,with great music and fun beachy chairs out front to sit in as you sip your margarita :) I wanted one of those chairs soooooooo bad :lol:

Oh, and you HAVE to try the 'cheeseburger in paradise' ;)

We had eaten at Jimmy's in Cancun over our Christmas trip and there were alot of kiddies around. They had girls making the kids (and adults) balloon animals and they also had Shirley Temple drinks for the kids. A fun family atmosphere.

Now, if you were going to Key West.........that's another story..........:eek:

I've been to Key West, DF, and you're absolutely right!!!!:eek:

I don't know whether I should admit this on 'Prime Time Internet' and given my 'colourful' past, but I've never had a Marguerita!!!!:(

I'm assuming it has Tequilla in it? (I can play the 'Tequilla Shot' game, if that's any help!!!;) ) What else do they mix with it?

If you really want the Perfect Margarita..

JIMMY BUFFET'S PERFECT MARGARITA

Crushed ice
3 wedges lime
2 oz. gold tequila (Cuervo 1800)
1/2 oz. tequila (Cuervo white)
1 1/4 oz. Rose's Lime Juice
1/2 oz. triple sec (Bols)
1 splash orange Curaçao (Bols)

Put all ingredients except the 3 lime wedges into a shaker. Squeeze 2 of the lime wedges into the shaker. SHAKE WELL! Rim outside of glass only with lime. Salt only the outside of the glass. Add fresh crushed ice to glass. Strain mixture over ice. Squeeze remaining lime wedge in glass.


Shaken Not Stirred !!

What's the difference between the Tequila's, deepsea? Is one stronger than the other?

I don't remember seeing more than one type of Tequila here!! :rolleyes:

brown tequila is the best allegedly- they both have the same effect!!!
