Hi everyone. I'm not sure this is the right forum for this question but here goes. We are visiting WDW in September and are on a budget. We have two days not reserved for WDW. My DH would like to visit one of the water parks (Typhoon Lagoon) and Sea World. We have a 4 year old daughter who loves water but not water rides. Doesn't Sea World have a 'water play' area. I am thinking that a water park would not be worth the expense because my daughter (and I) would get bored quickly. If we can go to Sea World and play as well as see the park I think it would be more cost effective. Does anyone have any advice?

What type of tickets do you have? Some disney tickets would give you the water parks at no extra cost and Sea World are included with an Orlando Flex ticket but I am sure you have got that allready from this site.
Sea World doesn't really have a water play area, but is one of my favourite parks. Your Daughter would enjoy the Clyde & Seymore Sea Lion Show as well as Shamu and the Dolphins. The water parks are fun also but unless you intend to ride the rides it can be a long time at a pool.
Perhaps play it by ear, itineraries are good but can be a cruel master if you let them run your holiday rather than be a help.

We really enjoyed Seaworld, but I cannot comment on the water parks as my kids were (imho) too little for them, at 2, 3, and just 5 - my DH begs to differ. However, I have read somewhere that UK visitors seem to rate Seaworld more highly than visitors from USA. The point the author of this comment then went on to make was that it was more like a UK attraction, in that you have to work at it a bit more.
I don't know where you are based or what your daughter is like, but there is a lot to engage inquisitive minds at Seaworld, and for us, being so close to the dolphins was amazing. I don't think any of my kids would have given it up for a water park at their age.

SW has an interactive play area and this has a water feature which the kids love plenty of water and tunnels to crawl through:ears:
