Has anyone done any of the guided tours at Busch Gardens? Are they worth paying extra for?
We are thinking of doing either the Serengeti Safari or the 3 Guided Adventure Tour.
Your comments would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi daisydoo
My boyfriend and I did the Serengeti Safari on our first trip to Orlando in October 01. We really, really enjoyed it, it was one of the highlights of our trip. As you probably know they take you onto the Serengeti Plain in an open top truck for half an hour. You are able to get up really close to the giraffes, antelopes and zebra. They give you some stuff to feed them too, which was fun. Got some good pictures of the giraffes heads next to ours! They also had a black rhino enclosure on the Serengeti Plain when we were there too, they had a baby at the time, he was really sweet! I don't know what the other tour involves, but I do recommend this one.

We did the ADVENTURE THRILL TOUR in May on Memorial day which we rearly enjoyed. As we were the only ones on the tour we had the guide to ourselves which was even better. The cost was $69/person and included the Serengeti Safari ($29) a meal in the Crown Colony Restaurant ($15) and we went to the front of all the queues for the major rides. As it was just the four of us we were allowed to choose which rides we wanted to go on. The guide was very informative and as it was a bank holiday the front of line access was a god send.
I was a little dissapointed with the Serengeti Safari for the amount they charge but it was an experience not to be missed. I won't get to feed a Giraffe again.
We were also given a voucher for 20% off merchandise in the shops.
Overall I am glad we did it although it was a little expensive.
