We are taking our little guy to DLP for his 3rd Birthday in a couple of weeks - :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Cant seem to find much info on what they can do to make his Birthday special.

One thing we thought was to have a meal at Cafe Mickey and ask for a cake - don't know if they provide this service??

Any Suggestions ?????

Personally, i'd skip Cafe Mickey. It's very busy as not only all the guests from the hotels, but the day-trippers eat there too, especially as the parks close and they all pile out through Disney Village.

If you're staying at The Disneyland, I would take your DS to 'Inventions' character buffet for dinner. There is everything you could want on the buffet from seafood to smiley faces :D

Call the hotel direct or book a table at the reception desk when you check in and tell them it's his birthday and you would like the cake. They have a special song that comes over the speakers in the restauant telling everyone there's a birthday guest. The staff come to the table and sing the song. Whichever characters are out at the time will also come to the table to dance (they can't sing!) and they make a real fuss of the birthday guest. It makes me want to cry whenever I see it happen ~ it's so special. (I'm a big softie!) Kids either love it or hate the attention.

We had our daughters birthday at the Grand Floridian last year and I was expecting a similar thing but it was nowhere near as special. I'm sure having Mickey visit his table will make your son's day!
