We have reservations for 2 Non-Dolphin swims next week at Discovery Cove. But now I think that I really want to do the Dolphin swim, too. DH has no interest (he volunteered to take the pictures), so it would just be me.

So why question is - Is it worth the extra $100? I have done a dolphin swim many years ago, but it was in a more "natural" setting. How long do you have in the water? What kind of things do you do with the dolphins? How big are the groups?

Guess I'm just looking for someone to say "Go far it, its worth every penny!!" Thanks in advance....

You only get 30 minutes the dophins, groups of about 6-10 people. You do things like kiss the dolphin, get to be pulled along by holding it's fin, generally interacting with it. Have you had a look at the their website? www.discoverycove.com

Also I know there are a lot of threads on the boards discussing DC, you could do a search and have a read of them.

I think that if you don't book a dolphin swim and you get there and see others doing it you may be disappointed! I say book it! :D

I agree I would rather book the dolphin swim rather than walking away disapointed.
I have a question my daughter who will be 5 in during our next trip has talked non stop about swimming with the dolphins. I did some research and read you have to be at least 6. When I told her she was really sad. Is there anywhere else that lets a 5 yr old swim with the dolphins? Of course dh or I would be with her during the dolphin encounter/swim. Sorry for going off topic a bit.
