So where has everyone stayed on site at DLP?

We stayed at Newport Bay last time we went and was quite pricey. We are going again at Easter but want to go to one of the less pricey ones so we have more Euros for the park. Which are the best from Santa Fe, Cheyenne etc?

Hi

We stayed at Sequoia Lodge in 1997 and it was lovely but that was BC (Before Children;) ) so I don't think I would stay there again as it wasn't that Disneyfied I think I would choose Cheyenne as it is supposed to be nicely themed:ears:

I'd say 'Cheyenne' too!

I haven't done the more expensive ones, but I have done 'Cheyenne' & 'Santa Fe'.

I, personally, wouldn't stay in Santa Fe again! I did like 'Cheyenne' though.

Why didn't you like the Santa Fe (my hubby wants to go there as it's cheaper?)

If you go here, Vik, it'll give you *MY* observations! Our trip was in March. If you want the whole trip report it's in Trip Reports!

Ah right, maybe we should reconsider the Santa Fe. At least there are only 2 of us, and we litlerally only want a place to sleep (we discovered last time we went you have to book every single restaurant table way in advance!). Wonder if anyone did like it....
I do agree with you though, the whole ambiance of the place is well (not wanting to be rude but......) French. I found the customer services side just isn't there, and I didn't like the fact people were smoking all over the place. But the bottom line is we can't do Florida next year, and DLP is next best (and my favourite ride BTM is so much better at DLP!).
Thanks for your advice :)

Santa Fe was appauling - no theme, our room stank of cigarettes. Walk outside to get to main building ( mind you it was -12 degrees). And the entertainment in the bar was embarrasingly bad - reminded us of Fawlty Towers - definitely NOT Disney quality. Our closest Disney friend has stayed many many times at the Cheyenne and thinks its one of the best he's stayed at.

Best we've stayed at so far was Sequoia Lodge - but we are going to Disneyland Hotel in 12 days for an anniversary treat - will let u know what we think about that.

Problem with DLP is we find we spend quite a lot of time at the hotel - parks close 8 ish and there is not much worth doing in Disney Village - in WDW i would say your hotel is just somewhere to lay your head so it doesn't matter much - but at DLP I think it does. Mind you the continental breakfast is much much better than it used to be i.e non existant at first then a miniscule croissant in a happy meal box!!
