I didn't think it was anywhere near as good as the hoop dee doo although it was still *good*.
The food was pretty awful though ;-)
I'd book early if you know you're definitely going just to make sure.

We did something similiar at Excalibur in Vegas. It was neat. Something to do once. When we were in Dallas we were always leaving MT for when we had company. Never did manage to get it in tho.

We went to the one there off I-192. It was excellent! My kids were 12 and 7 at the time and they both loved it. The knights on the horses and the competitions were really neat. I'll warn you though, there are no utensils to eat with! It is all with your hands (drum sticks, soup in a bowl with a handle, and a potato that you can eat with your hands. Both girls and boys would enjoy this as there are some really neat gifts to buy too. My daughter has a pink pointed princess hat with a veil that is really cute! I made reservations for this way ahead of time. I'd actually like to go back again sometime. Hope this helps!

I am curious -- the web site for the medieval times said you could have "priority seating" for an extra $6 a person. I guess this means reserved seats but I called to ask a few questions as to the length of the show ect and she said it was first come first served and you just went and picked out your seats.
I am picturing a large group of people running and making a mad dash to get a good seat  is it better to sit up a bit off the ground level I was thinking you might have a better view?
Where di you and your family sit could you see well or might you pick a different area to sit in if you return? My daughter really really wants to see this so I hoping it works out for our family!

We went to MT last October with DS (7) and DD (8). They thoroughly enjoyed it. Lots of action!
We also paid a little extra for the 'Royal Package'. This meant that we had seats in the front row - they weren't reserved but they were only available to those who had paid extra. We were served first, had flags to wave, and were more likely to be 'picked out' by the cast members (eg - I was given a flower by one of the knights).
We had a great time - I think your younger ones would love it too!

We did what Niki did. We were in the first row of the section for the blue knight (very nice looking;) ). When we went it was a little like a cattle run for seats but I think it was because everyone had waited sooo long to enter the castle that night. There had been a fire in the kitchen right before everyone was to enter the show and after being outside in the very humid heat everyone was anxious to get into the airconditioning!! We have great pictures of my daughter standing next to the fire trucks with the castle as the backdrop:lol: FYI, the fire was just a little stove fire but they had to evacuate for safety reasons.

As our first trip to WDW is in December, but MT was a major plus to the trip.
Both my wife and I love MT (in Anaheim), we have been several times with and without our kids. We have also been to the Knights Tournament (at Excalibur, Las Vegas) several times. Our kids are now grown, but our trips to MT are still big topics of conversation.
We are Sword and Sorcery nuts, and we love these shows. On top of this (as if it weren't enough), my wife is an equestrian fan, so WHENEVER we have the change or opportunity, we take in one of these shows.
As for the food, it was tasty, but definately not gourmet. We like it, but then again, we like our food simple.

I think this is the best dinner show in Orlando. I have been to some stinkers, but this is not one of them. I have dined at MT three times and I would go back in a heart beat. The food is wonderful and the show is excellent. I understand they have changed the show since the last time I attended and I want to go and see it. I would say that if you can find time to do this for dinner in your schedule, do it! You will totally enjoy it.
