This isn't really a DVC question, but since some of you have probably stayed at the BWV, and this isn't a typical "hotel rental situation", I thought I could ask here. We are renting a 2 BDR BWV from a friend. We just received the paper confirmation in my name, and I have a few questions. Because my friend has only stayed at other resorts, she isn't sure about the answers. If you would be so kind......
* The number of guests is listed on the confirmation is: 4. Will there be a problem as we have 5 people (2 adults/3 kids)? My mom may be in Orlando for 2 nights that week. Would it be OK for her to stay with us as well for that period? Supposedly the unit sleeps 8.
* I noticed "trash/towel service" comes once/5 nights. Do the sheets get changed on that day as well? If we would need different towels/trash removal in addition to 12/3, can we pay extra for that? Is there somewhere we can bring our own trash?
* I think there is a coffee maker in the room?? Do we need to bring coffee filters/etc?
Thanks in advance to someone who knows!!!

OK, let's see what I can do to help.
It's always a good idea to have the number on the reservation match the number of guests staying in the room, but don't fuss about it now. The two bedroom will allow ample space for the five of you and the visit from your Mom. They are lovely "apartments!"
You will have places to bring your own trash so there is no problem with "build up."
I honestly can't recall if they change the sheets on Towel and Tidy, but I really think they do.
You can pay extra for daily maid service. I don't know the cost, but it differs with villa size. Check with your DVC member to learn the additional cost.
There is a coffee maker and you will need your own filters and coffee. You will be provided with one packet, I believe. It's a good idea to have whatever else you put in your coffee with you (sugar, cream, artificial sweetener, etc.). Again, some is provided but not enough for more than one day usually.
You should really enjoy your stay. Boardwalk is a great location and the DVC villas are truly "homes away from home." The CM staff there can be a little disappointing at times, so be certain to be clear in what you want and when you want it. No huge problems, but they do have some complaints, particularly about housekeeping. Check the villa thoroughly when you first check in and immediately call housekeeping if you need something.
Hope this helps. If you have other questions just post away! :ears:

:) Okay, as to your question about having only 4 listed on your ressie -- it's perfectly fine to have an extra person stay with you but yes you should call ahead of time and let Member Services know that you'll have the extra person joining you (they need exact head counts for fire safety reasons I'm told). 2bdrm villa's do sleep up to 8 people though;)
As to the other question about "Trash -n- towel" day. They do not change sheets on Trash -n- towel day. They will just come in and empty all the garbage cans/waste baskets and give you a set of fresh towels. Sheets will be changed on your first "full cleaning day". You'll only get a full cleaning day though if you are there beyond 6 days though I believe. You can pay extra for daily mousekeeping if you would like to but it is quite pricey. I think studio's (which are the smallest size villa's) start at somewhere in the neighborhood of $35 per day extra and a 2bdrm villa is more like $50 per day or something crazy like that so it's not really worth it IMHO:rolleyes: The 2bdrm villa will have a washer and dryer though so should you need fresh towels you can always just throw them in the wash;) just be sure to pick up some detergent as the villa will only come with 1 loads worth of Tide to start you off. And if you need to empty your trash cans before trash -n- towel day they do have trash closets located through out the hotel.
They do have coffee makers in the room btw, but as OKWTink mentioned, you'll need to bring filters & coffee & cream & sugar supplies as they only give you start up supplies.
You'll have a full kitchen with practically anything you need other than food supplies.
Have a great trip! You'll love it!:D

:) Thanks for all of the great information. I did call DVC and told them we had at least 5 people, perhaps 6. The individual who answered the call said that was fine. I appreciate your answers. Thank you very much!!! :ears:
