Hello!!

Has anyone had a tea party at Disney? My fiance & I are planning on having one the day before our wedding. Any great stories or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know about a tea party but DH and I had afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian when we were there in Jan for my birthday. And we plan on taking our two granddaughters in June when we head back!

If that is what you mean by a "tea party", you are going to love it! Everything we had was delicious! Let your server guide you through it.

Thank you for your response. I was mistaken, it is the Mad Hatter Tea Party that we are going to have. If anyone has been to one or has planned one I would love to hear the details.....

Hello!!

The Mad Hatter Tea Party is slightly more unusual verison of a tea party. This is what I have received so far from Disney. "Disney will create a private Alice In Wonderland for your guests. You and your friends wil take a drink from the vial that reads "Drink Me" as you enter miniaturized Wonderland. You will come across the garden setting where the Mad Hatter's Tea Party has been set. Oversize flowers, mushrooms, and teapots (several feet high) add to the fun, while a caterpillar (statue) watches over your very own tea party. To add to the fun, Alice, White Rabbit, and Mad Hatter will great your guests for two 30-minute apperances. A very intersting Mad Hatter cake is also available. Please speak to your Wedding Coordinator or Sales Manager for more information.".

My fiance and I thought it would be good to do this the day before our wedding since we are getting married on a sunday 3/28/04. It will be for our families with children as well as the "older" generation that doesn't want to walk around the park.
