Trying to get a feel for a family reunion at HH on DVC points in 2005 November. Remember it is not my home resort so I would not have the 11 month window. What are my chances? I would need a 3 BDR on Sun- Thur second wk of November.

I don't have HH points, but I don't want you to think your question is being ignored... so, I'll jump right in :).

I would think you would have no problem at all, the only thing that would give me hesitation is the 3BR villa which is generally high in demand.

We have visited HH in the last 2 weeks of Aug for 1 night--made ressies the day before. They had both 2 BR and 1BR available. A lot of kids were already in school when we made our trip.

We also visited in the first week of Jan. (during Christmas/New Years break). Using a discount code, we made ressies about 30 days in advance. We were going to make a change about a week prior and they still had availability. We also looked at AP discounts for the weekend nights in the Oct-Nov range and these seemed to us to be booked up pretty fast.

We very much enjoyed HHI and thought about getting a small contract to cover a short visit every once in a while. But, the only thing that gave me pause is that this resort definately seems to be seasonal. The summer months are in very high demand. (I wonder how they fill the resort the rest of the year during the off season. ) It was really quiet when we visited in Jan...

Thanks for answering. I was beginning to wonder if anyone had even visited there. Glad someone has gone there. I also would love to have a small contract there. Just can't afford the extra points right now. November is cool I know but I believe that it isn't cold yet in SC. So we could still enjoy maybe a picnic outside, some golf. Since its not on a weekend maybe we could get in. :bounce: Thank You again.

Stayed at HH a couple of years ago in late August. The bookings said it was full but we tried on the off chance and got a studio. We were prepared to go elsewhere if necessary but were really pleased to get in.
