Hi everyone

We're looking to book 4 days at DLP in July 2004. I'm finding it very difficult to find prices for anything that far in advance. When do the prices become available.

Also, can anyone give me feedback about the Davy Crockett hotel. We need somewhere that's self-catering and this seems to be the only on-site option.

If anyone has any other suggestions or experiences I'd love some information.

Thanks
Jackie

I can't help you with 2004 prices I'm afraid, but I can tell you that Davy Crockett is the only Self Catering on site.
The cabins sleep up to 6 people. There is NO Disney Transport from here! You have to have a car and it's not close to any of the other hotels.:)

Hiya:wave:

Davy crockett is a lovely resort - probably the best we have staye in after the Disneyland.

Fantasic pool, pony trecking and walks. well stocked store and a pleasant bar in the evenings - we found the cabins spacious and quiet - would recommend them.

Not sure about transport to and from - this was intermittent in the past and was sometimes avaliable at peak season.

Thanks both for the comments. We will have a car with us so transport is not a problem. Close (or not) to other hotels is also not a problem.

Chris/Lisa how did you book - direct or through a travel agent?

Thanks
Jackie

Always used travel agents - Travelchoice are pretty good - Actually think our Davy Crocket Holiday was a coach trip booked through Wallace Arnold (never again with the coach thing)

As regards to booking in advance.
We were going to go at Easter (now going to WDW though! YEY!) and wanted to book it at the end of the summer. We are limited to school hols so wanted to do it as soon as poss. Easter, as with July is classed as the summer season, and for some bizzare reason, they don't release their rates till later in the year. I called Disney direct and they said their rates for summer 04 would be released late October/early November.
Hope this helps!

I called central reservations yesterday and they told me that prices for July would only be released in January!

Is it cheaper to book direct with Disney and book accommodation and tickets separately or is it better to get one of the packages that include the tickets. Most of the packages I've seen also have travel with them and we don't need the travel part as we'll already be in France for a few weeks before we actually visit DLP.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Jackie

Mark&Jackie - In the official DLP brochure they have the prices for Accomodation and ticket packeages without transport. Don't know if they will be the cheapest though.

I think I've said this before somewhere, but do your research and you'll be fine. I looked up exactly what I wanted on the Disney website, for the dates I wanted (just accom and passes - already soreted transport). Then basically take it to a travel agent and ask them to beat it, my local on did, by about 5%. That doesn't sound like much, but it's a meal :) Depends if you have the time to do it really.

Just to say the DLP reserevations for next year went on sale on 4th November. Still undecided where to stay, I quite fancy the look of the Holiday Inn, has anyone been yet?
