:hearts: I might have missed this one on board but has anyone been married or had their kids married at the Chapel at GF? We just stayed there and my oldest daughter wants to get married at the GF  I think I might have rob a bank to do that ;) Anyone done it?

There's no way my girls are getting married anywhere else. They are only 7 and 2, but i've pencilled a few dates in already
It is my one big regret ~ caving in to everyone else's wishes and getting married in our local church. We sacrificied our dream for other people  Still, maybe we will renew our vows there one day.

:bounce: :bounce: Me TOO!!! Perhaps we could have a double ceremony with Lois and Baleigh, complete with loads of Zinfy :D :D
Sirbobby,
How old is your daughter? Perhaps you could encourage her to start saving too :) Or at least be your getaway driver ;)

I didn't know you got married at Disney's wedding pavilion Keith.
Did you have Cinderella's coach?
Any photos?
Always find time to walk round from Poly to GF via wedding chapel. Couldn't go in this time though as there was a wedding just leaving :(

Keith had beautiful photos of his wedding in the chapel and also of he and his Helen at MK before it opened.
Perhaps when he is back on he can locate them for you, or get them to you some other way?
It's never too early to start planning Joanne. :) Or saving!

I received one of tha famous "Disneys Fairytale Weddings"
You can request it and have it delivedred to your home.. no charge
Apart from the video you will get a brochure which covers most if not all of your questions!
The prices vary A LOT, depending on location, type of wedding( cocktail, dinner, dancing, music), number of guests, etc....
You can also contact a Disney wedding coordinator, and she will arrange different packages for you based on your needs and what you like.

well, she was 'unofficially' present at our most recent meet..:)
A wedding at GF would be amazing, a wedding anywhere in Disney would be! hmm..maybe one day.......
Have to start saving those pennies! :ears:

What on earth does Keith's wedding photos have to do with a meet?
As I've said before, some folks like group meets, some of us don't. It's as simple as that.

Ohhhhhhhhh, My Sister Tink don't get the flitters flattered ! It's fine , it's your perocative, to be cyber , but it would be nice ! Maybe, Sommmmmmmmme Day , you'll come , never say never is what I was always taught . :D
Now back to the wedding thread ! I've tried to talk my DS and future DIL into a Disney wedding . But they have decided to marry here at home with friends and family and a Big Reception ! They are going to honeymoon in Disney, though . I love the idea and totally understand their point .
I will be married 25 years in 9 more years and DH and I are going to renew our vows at the GF wedding pavillion . I plan to have Kim and Pat as our attendents. Anybody want to attend ?
 And party Disney style !!!
Now did I read that someone had The Big Boss MM as an attendant , maybe I could get Gaston ...:hehe: :hehe: :hehe:
Shhhhhhhhhhh !!!

My flitters aren't flattered, sweet sister! But thank you for your support! :D
Your idea of renewing your vows sounds wonderful. Now, about this Gaston... ;)
I see weddings at WDW quite frequently. They are very popular on the boardwalk and at the Swan and Dolphin. It is amazing how many different styles there are.
My favorite still is the groom wearing full highland dress and the bride in a heavy cream satin dress with short train. They were really a remarkable couple.

   I will have to get the wedding video and start planning . I may do it in four on the 20th year , since my DH suffers from COPD. Although he stopped smoking , he works with flour . I know , he should wear a mask , but he feels different , I understand . And you just never know , the world is so screwed up , too . Why Wait !
Now as for this beautiful wedding that you saw, Sister Tink, perhaps you could be my cyber consultant . Places to go to buy a gown , rent a tux , sound good . This way your included and invited if You so desire .:hehe:

That is so right redkop. The bride and groom that I was so impressed with I saw at DTD. There is no telling where they were married.
It is so neat to see folks in the wedding ears. I've seen some get very creative with the tulle on the Minnie ears. :)
Tinker, I wouldn't know where to begin to recommend! There is a chain of shops here, don't know if it extends to other states, called David's Bridal. They may be able to help. There is another one over on Dr. Phillips Blvd (just off Sand Lake) called My Daughter's Wedding, but have only passed by it.
I think it would be really neat for you to dress like a princess (your favorite one) and have your husband dress the prince that goes with her! :D :D  See why I don't coordinate weddings?
On a little more serious note, don't wait Tinker. Regardless of the COPD, you just never, ever know what life has in store. So live your dream today, and hope for tomorrow. :ears:

MM's right <G> I really hate photos of myself even if I love taking them of others ;-) ALSO I have some issues with the colour balance and so on but still, here they are

Joanne, we did have the wedding at the pavilion and it REALLY was excellent :)) I can't think of a better place to get married. Relatives wanted some kind of local registry office thing  and I'm Soooooooooo glad I didn't let them win that one :)
It *WAS* expensive... very much so.... and everything was always "oh you CAN but thats extra"... the wedding staff were pretty unhelpful too.... but it was all worth it.

Keith, those photos are fantastic, sorry I missed them.
Sure, it's expensive, but it's a once in a lifetime thing isn't it? And the memories last forever :)

Keith, thank you so much for sharing your wedding photos with us again. I enjoyed looking at them as much this time as I did before.
It was a beautiful wedding, wasn't it? Somehow it seems so very right for the both of you to be there together, without anyone else. I know that sharing the special day is important, but it just seems like you were both totally devoted to each other and focused solely on one another instead of worrying whether or not Aunt Mildred got her chicken instead of the beef.
A truly magical photo essay.
I'm saying it one more time. You are way to hard on yourself!
