Well, because of budget constraints, I am most likely going to be at the santa Fe hotel for seven nights in January - just myself and y 12 year old daughter. I'm hoping that for just two of us the room will be adequate. My questions:1) Where is the self service laundry, and what room can I request that will be near it? (I want to travel light from Israel)
2) Train to Paris from Disney... how long does it take and how late in the evening can we return... oh, and is the station walking distance from the Santa Fe?
3) Any suggestions on how to use our time.. we've never seen paris, and we are Disney freaks - many visits to Orlando.
4) Back to the Santa Fe - any advice on how to make our stay there more bearable?
Thanks in advance!
I'm getting excited... 70 days and counting...

1. I didn't see this when we stayed there last year
2. Not long at all on the train, and the station is within walking distance (about 15 minutes) but theres a free shuttle from outside the train station direct to the santa fe
3. the parks, the parks and the parks.
4. Change hotels now!!

Me and a friend just got back from Disneyland Paris and stayed at the Santa Fe. Ok, it wasn't luxurious, but it was fine. I would compare it to your average Best Western in the US.
We never took the shuttle, we walked every day to the park and it took maximum 12 minutes, and it was a nice walk.
We also headed into Paris on the RER on our last day there, since we had pretty much done everything at Disneyland that we wanted to do. It was very easy, taking less than 40 minutes to the center of Paris. If you just want to crash the Louvre or do some shopping its a breeze.
Have fun!

I agree - change hotels now, if my memory serves me correctly the hotel cheyenne is only a miniscule amount more money, yet it is much, much, much nicer

I must say I'm very surprised about people having such a problem with the Hotel Santa Fe!
I've stayed there several times, and considering its the cheapest I found the rooms to be adequate and comfortable and well equipped, and the restaurant area (although I only ate there for breakfast) seemed to be fine!
I admit Im not keen on the yellowy sort of light that is in the main reception building, its not the nicest place, but its still very good for what it is, there's nothing to complain as such, you're getting quite good accomodation for the money!
I *am* staying in the Cheyenne this year, but for those who say its nicer thats purely the outside facades and reception/restaurant, the rooms in all of the hotels aside the suites in the Disney Hotel are virtually identical in layout and style of furniture with perhaps slightly different decor. You dont spend much time in the hotels if you're in Disney anyway, there's too much to do.
So to anyone considering the Santa Fe... sure it isnt luxury but it is very good for what you are paying, Ive had no trouble there and would happily stay there again!
