Thank- you to everyone who replied to my precious Q's about Santa Fe... I tried to get the Cheyenne ..but it is either closed or full for the week I'll be there. The Sequoia comes out to significantly more money. As time gets closer I'll see if I can swing that, but meanwhile, I've booked the Santa Fe, assuming it can't be so bad that it will ruin our vacation.
So if anyone who has been there can suggest strategies for making the most of it, I'd really appreciate it.
Such as: Any particular building or room? Oh, and if anyone knows anything about the self service laundry, I'd really like to know where it is, how much it costs, etc.
I know it's the worst on-site property, but I'm thinking positive and trying to make the most of the money I DO have and not cry over what I don't. So if anyone who has stayed at the Santa Fe has any constructive suggestions they would most gratefully be received!
Thanks again!
Jody

ok, to be constructive and to enjoy your stay at santa fe.....

1. Do not under any circumstances use the restaurant (ha!) or the bar there. Really, words cannot begin to describe how bad they are. The Cheyenne is a 5 minute walk across the bridge and has better facilities.

2. Use your room to sleep in only, they're not the nicest of places to spend too much time in.

To see what I mean have a look here:
