I know that this may not strictly speaking be an attraction but i didn't know where to post this question. So here i go,my friend is a huge cricket fan:yawn: and he has heard that there is a place at the mercado centre on int drive that is called the cricketers arms.We think it is run by an englishman. My friend(honest it's not me)would like to know if they show cricket on tv's and whether they do english food.I'm afraid he is a bit of a roast dinner fanatic. If anyone has been there and can advice us before we go that would be great.
:thanks:

If it is the place I'm thinking of, it is a dark, cramped little space. I too haven't heard much good about it. I was looking for some British food one day and paused to read their menu. Nothing sounded too great and the clouds of smoke wafting from within scared me away. With the clean air act, that may no longer be a problem, though.
Not too many places that really do authentic UK food/pub atmosphere here.
You could try Fiddler's Green up in Winter Park, but that's Irish and not UK. Pull a mean Guinness, they do, but the food isn't much to rave about. (Stereotypical soggy cabbage and corned beef. Something I never laid eyes on in Ireland)!
By roast, do you mean roasted meats? Like roasted beef with roasted potatoes, etc? If so, you'd be better off seeking out a local restaurant that offers that style of cooking. There is pot roast (beef, carrots, potatoes, onions roasted together in one pan) on the menu at Stonewood in Dr. Phillips. About 10 minutes or so from DTD.
