Is anyone going to go to this? ( I wish I could, but it is during the weekdays when DS is in school... Oh, and we already have a trip planned for 28 through 31 May...hmmm)

Wish I could too but having already pulled my kids from school for a week for this last trip I don't think they'd like another pull from school in late May. I, of course, see nothing wrong with it!:D

Nope. Unfortunately, the tickets include the park admission and that I don't need. If they had two price points (one for AP holders) I might think about it, but otherwise, it makes no sense for me.

I have heard that the price is $50 off if you already have an AP. (I believe they decided to do this after receiving quite a bit of "feedback" :) ). It still is pretty pricey even with taking $50 off!

Well, that does make sense to deduct the rough cost of admission for those with APs. Two fifty is still a chunk of money though for what amounts to a party, eh? The one that interests me the most is the Saratoga Springs resort one. Still, can't see paying to visit when I can do so for free another time, albeit without the festivities.

When I first found out about it, I was thinking, there is no way I can go to this.... :lol: :lol: :lol:
(DS is in school, we have another trip scheduled 28-31 May, and the grand opening ticket is a VERY expensive ticket ....)

But then, I noticed somewhere that Arlo Guthrie is planned to be the featured singer for the Flower Power Concert 26-28 May....
And, I was thinking, maybe I could try to get a SSR studio for 25-27 May--go a few days before the family and meet them on 28 May. (Then they wouldn't have to sit through several Arlo Guthrie concerts, they wouldn't have to look at all the flower arrangements, DS wouldn't miss school and I would only need 1 ticket for the grand opening festivities....) :) Then we would all go home together.

I still haven't totally decided. But, I sure like my plan "B" :).

I've watched Arlo Guthrie for a couple of years now! He is truly so much fun to listen to. He usually brings his adult daughter and her husband. They participate in the band.

He is so politically savvy and it shows in his presentations. He has truly managed to evolve through the years. He may sing "the old songs" but his comments are very current.

"I don't want a pickle. I just wanna' drive my motorcycle..."
