Hi, we are at WDW at the end of the month and wonder if it is worthwhile thinking about having a day at the beach in Feb.
If so, could anyone tell us which beach is best and roughly the journey time from H192, as we never went when we were last in WDW in 2002.
Many thanks

Well, you could have a day that you may find warm enough to go to the beach. I've learned (quickly, I might add!) that the out of state visitors find the Florida weather much more suitable for swimming year round than I do!
Cocoa Beach is relatively well visited and about one hour (depending upon traffic, can be a bit less, or more of course) away from central Florida.

I just came back from a surfing competition in Flagler Beach (up by Jacksonville) and the water was alot warmer than the beach. I agree with OW that if its in the 60's (what it has been lately) northerns (and those who live in artic conditions) will go to the beach but I dont think they venture ocean.

Thanks for replies - maybe we'll just wait and see what the weather is like. Maybe we'll be lucky, maybe we won't - I don't really care I'll be in FLORIDAAAAAAA.
Sorry about that just getting a bit excited!!!

You might want to consider going to the west (Gulf) coast of Florida. The water tends to be warmer there, and if you drop a little south (Sarasota or so) the air will be warmer too. It's a little futher than the east coast, and if you drop to the Sarasota area it could take about 2 hours or so by car.
Jacksonville, being very north will be the coldest for the longest period of time (usually).
