Please, please, please can anyone help me?

Some of you may remember that as a surprise for dh, I am having our wedding vows renewed for our 20th anniversary. I also want to do something really special one day at one of the parks. I have been to the site for 'gifts of a lifetime' and I think they can help me out on the day. The thing is, what can I have happen (would be nice for the two of us to be involved). I don't want to be running around on a treasure hunt - something more romantic would be nice.

Any suggestions?

Have you filled out their questionaire and been in contact with them yet?

How about having them decorate your room with a romantic 'candlelit' wine and cheese surprise when you get back from the parks?

For the parks, how about having them meet you at a secluded spot, like the intimate Fairy Tale Garden at a specific time for a private photo shoot?

Or, how about a special fireworks cruise, but you'd do that through Disney, not GOAL.

I had the pleasure of meeting the GOAL people in December when they sent a party of us on one of their hunts :) It was absolutely brilliant... more fun than I've ever imagined :)

But you really need to email them because they will tell you what kind of thing they could do on that day.

I can totally recommend them.

I have been in touch with them but they do not work on 'surprises' this far in advance. They said they will be in touch nearer the time and to think about what type of surprise that I wanted.
I have thought of the room decoration but would rather have something actually happen at the parks - and something that would include the two of us.

OOOOHHHH!!! I've got something in mind that I*think* they can do fairly quickly and without getting them arrested, but I want to ask how 'public' you want it to be?

Also, what are your favorite areas in the parks, to use as guidelines?

Along with Keith, I totally recommend them, but you do have to keep on top of them as they get very busy and I'd hate to see you slip through the cracks. I was a guest pixie for them a couple of times and very much enjoyed it.

Mickeymac - you have me blushing without knowing just what you have in mind:eek:

:D

We wouldn't mind anything being done in public - no one knows us, right!!

Fave parks are MK - although we plan to spend NYE there so it will be way too crowded. There is a very good chance that we will be there another day a couple of weeks later if we like. (which we do like) We love the castle area and fireworks etc.
Other fave park is AK - we both just adore animals.
Our fave character is Mickey.

Let me email Jane before I get carried away with this first. :D

Mickeymac - you have me blushing without knowing just what you have in mind

Well either you blush easy or you've an active imagination! :hehe: It's tame, but pretty fun, depending on how much they want to play it up. Gotta ask first. :D

Jane herself sent me an email 18th October saying that she would be in touch and to be thinking of ideas.

I am getting excited :bounce:

Well, I just emailed her askign if she can legally do it (Disney's got an amazing amount of restrictions and I don't want to et her in trouble for posting something she's not able to do) then will post when she responds.

Does anyone else have some ideas? I can't be the only one willing to get Isafari in trouble!! :D

I wish I had an idea... I'm so not creative when it comes to surprises.... are you going to do the re-hitching at Garden Grill?

I have booked Cypress Grove Park - just need to be able to find our way there:eek: having the service at a gazebo by the lake. Have booked the reverend and photographer too. This is the main reason why I want (need) to lose weight. I am about 4 stone heavier than when I got married 20 years ago. I don't want to be that thin again, just want to look ok!

Please - anyone with any romantic ideas for the two of us, I'd love to hear from you.

I'm not sure when I am going to let dh in on the renewal service - maybe before we set off, maybe when the day comes - what are your thoughts?

Ack, sorry, Life got in the way and I forgot to email you back - I just sent you a PM to see if you like it. Jane said 'yes' and to email her with what you like out of the idea.

Mari - this is the pm that Mickeymac sent to me .................................................. ..............................Jane liked this idea and said it's do-able and you can play it up or play it down as you see fit.

You and your DH could be at a 'special place' prearranged location and time with Jane. She will be 'scanning the crowd' looking for the 'Couple of the Day.' She will find you, verify that it is you with pomp and circumstance, then proclaim you 'Couple of the Day' and present whatever you wish to the both of you (wedding ears, regular ears, etc - she told me wedding ears cannot be embroidered as it's a type of fabric that don't sit well in the machine)

This could get elaborate with a 'Pixie' theme or something simple and quick. She could also take a 'Couple of the Day' picture of you with your camera, etc.

How does it sound?

Thanks so much for sharing!

Wow MM.. thats a nice idea.. and I like the fact that you can either make a big deal out of it, or keep it extra simple

Bravo!!!

Thats really creative!

Someone suggested to me, for our previous trip these, maybe they can be used with GOAL, to make them a bit more elaborate:

1. Have a princess give him a rose or a gift or something from your part.

2. A bottle of wine or champagne watching the fireworks from the Poly beach (watch out for mosquitoes... :D )

3. A horse riden carriage ride

4. A Hot air balloon ride

... I know there are many others posted on the site....
