The counters you can have a look at the tech and test forum, Its all there for you a few threads down the line.
You have to go to a counter site, Then fill in the form online, Then click and cut and paste it to your signiture.
Anyway have a go!!

Yes, DC do allow you to use Underwater cameras, except in the dolphin pool. According to the trainers, dolphins can swallow a 1lb herring whole easily, and Underwater cameras are about the same size as that, so it saftey for them there..
Hope this helps...

we actually bought underwater camera's at DC for $14.99 and didn't expect to get much from them - in fact the photos turned out fine. We had them developed the same evening at a chemist on International Drive.
Do you know how hard it is to take underwater photos!!
I kept trying to take a photo of dh swimming underwater with the tropical fish and I just kept floating away:hehe:

Dotty Dot - you mentioned swim shoes. Did you see them anywhere other than DC? We saw a lot of people wearing them at BB in 2002, but haven't managed to find any to buy - unless paying a fortune that is.

same here - going to try Walmart for the swim shoes when we get there - although I think that dh still has his, so he can take them for a return journey. Mine - they are full of holes in the toes after just one days use - I must be rough!:ohdear:

We went to DC and used an underwater camera. The pics were fantastic. Not particularly flattering I must admit as you do look rather strange swimming towards a camera underwater, but there you go!

one tip for underwater pics... wear goggles when taking them, because if you open your eyes underwater, you will see everything blurry.... plus the eyes really hurt!
Disposable cameras are really cheasp, but if you r looking for a long term solution, check your camera... many have an underwater or water proof case available.
My sister has a Canon S200 and has the water sealed case... you can even take pictures when diving... really fun!!.... and it also helps protect the camera if you drop it, or if it rains and so on!

Does anyone know whether the Fuji or Kodac underwater cameras are the best? I've seen them on the Walgreens web site for around $16. Also does anyone know how much processing is on these types of cameras?
Also about these shoes- is it worth spending the $ at DC or are the one's at the supermarkets just as good - I have cousins that are going with me who will only want the best - but if they are the same then might as well save those $$$
Thanks

i think walmart does the cameras for cheaper than $16 and the shoes that i bought in walmart for $5 were absolutely fine

We used the Kodak underwater camera and we got good prints from it at Walgreens for either $2.99 or $3.99. I had a voucher for a free Kodak underwater camera from DC as we booked off season.....I left it in the hotel so we actually bought one while at DC for $22.
We also bought the sandshoes at DC ....mine got holes in the toes first time wearing them so, I would try the Walmart or Walgreens version next time. :)

I have the underwater case for my Canon S40 and it was the best thing I have bought for my camera. It was pretty expensive but I have got some really fantastic holiday pictures from it - great ones in the sea which I would have never taken my digital camera near without the underwater housing!
The casing is also really good when skiing!
I would recommend one to anyone who can get one for the digital camera.

You probably wont notice much difference between the two I would say. I would probably go with with the cheapest one! :D

Thanks Edward - glad you had a good time at DC - did you do the birthday package??? It is my birthday on the day we are going and I am umming and ahhing abour whether to do one of the packages or not!
They seem faily expensive but then again you get a lot included - especially as we are resigned to buying the video and pics anyway as we have lots of rele's who are going later in the year!

No we didnt do the birthday package to be honest the other hald didnt want a fuss she was just happy with the suprise of going on her birthday.
She thoroughly enjoyed it with a small exception she broke her toe on a rock in the tropical fish section.. She still loved every second of the day and is looking forward to going back when our first grandchild is old enough (Due in June)

After pricing the underwater case for my camera - which costs MORE than the camera did - I've decided that I'll just buy a couple of disposable ones. I don't plan on taking enough underwater photos to justify spending that kind of money!!! LOL

 They can be very expensive... seems like the price of digital cameras keeps falling but prices of things like that don't!
When I bought mine I was working at a camera shop so I got it at trade price so that swayed my decision a bit :D

Found a great underwater camera case at The HopShop (UK) which is an Aquapac one. You can put most zoom digital cameras in it. Seal is watertight to 5metres. At least I can check that my pictures are OK on the day - would hate to find out they were no good.
Cost £19.95 - and is reusable!!
On the shoe front - it is the floor (bottom) of the pools that are hard/sharp at DC or just whilst walking around?

I don't think DH would trust an underwater bag for his camera  in saying that, I'm not sure I would either  maybe if it wasn't an expensive camera, then I would give it a go :)
If you are used to walking around on pavement/sand, then it is just the bottom of some of the pools at DC that are sharp for delicate feet. I wouldn't go back in those without something on my feet. Gosh, I am saying feet a lot :sigh:

It sure does! When I had decided to leave I think I had my whole family in that shop lining up to get the discount before I left!
