I hope someone out there has a really good suggestion for me.:D
My husband loves his Goofy pin collection & loves to show it off by wearing them when we are at the park. But the lanyards don't hold much & aren't that comfy. So he bought one of those khaki vests at AK with plans of putting pins on it. Problem is this, everytime he wears this with his pins he loses one. We are using the black Mickey backings. Is there a better way to secure these suckers as they are to expensive to lose! Now he has this useless vest too as it's the only reason he bought it.
Thanks:wave:

Try looking at these pin locks (http://www.cheappins.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=02&Product_Code=up&Category_Code=) at cheappins.com. Several members of this board have bought through them. They are very reliable and ship very inexpensively.

Your husband now has a useless khaki vest from AK, BT? What a coincidence, as I have a useless khaki hat from AK!! I bought the hat for the 6 free AK pins that it came with, but now I've taken the pins off and just have the hat stuffed in a closet somewhere. We should trade off and have a whole useless khaki outfit!

That is hysterical! I didn't want him to buy the stupid vest anyway as I knew the only place he'd wear it was WDW. Though we go often, not often enough to warrant a vest that was over $50 I believe. I have to admit, it did look nice with his pins on it. But to expensive to keep losing them. I thought of sticking the pin through & then applying a touch of hot glue from my glue gun. That stuff seems to peel right off when you need to remove it.

It just stands to figure that the one impulse buy I give in to ends up a bust! We'll all recover, though; and speaking of recovering -- I do believe you could get crafty with a useless khaki vest and a bit of hot glue.... hmm....

We got the screw on pin backs when we were in Disney...I bet that other place is alot cheaper.

the locking backs at disney are 8.50 for 12, i think. My sister lost a pin from her lanyards before and it took ages to find it again...not theone she lost, mind you!!

I get my screw on locks from the motorcycle store. I really got tired of listening for that "ping" when a pin would hit the floor. Loosing pins is NOT why I purchase them.

In the Army we call those things that are on the backs of pins "dammits"...guess everyone knows why! What do you say when they fall off??

My husband lost a Goofy Sagittarius pin off his vest a few years back. He mentions it every trip....."man! wish I still had that Goofy pin I lost off my vest". It's like a tradition at this point.
Those things are to darn expensive to lose!

Granted, my kids are 4 and 5, but we heard the fall of the pins three times, once was with the screw on locking back. Seems that was a useless purchase.
