We have only stayed at VWL in the past. In April we will be staying at OKW and in May trying BCV.

Can you request specific rooms or buildings (OKW) with DVC? My next question is this: does anyone have suggestions for "good" buildings or rooms?

In April it will be just DS and I at OKW so I really don't want to be too far away from HH. When we stay at the BCV I really would prefer to not have a view of the parking lot. Does anyone have suggestions for good rooms/buildings to request?

Thanks!

Hi Alexander,
You can request a particular location at OKW but it cannot be guaranteed that you will get it.

On a couple of occasions I`ve aked for, and managed to get a room near to the Hospitality House.
These buildings are just across from the parking area at check in and they are convenient for the grocery store and bus stop etc.

The rear of the buildings look out onto the golf course with trees beyond that.

I cannot remember the building numbers but I would recommend this location IMHO.

Alexander,
Member services has changed their policy to a room ready policy. I don't think it hurts to make your wishes known, but they seem to be focusing more on getting folks a room as early as possible.

So far, we have had 3 different 2 BR units at BCV.
We have had a pool view on the first floor right out in front of the pool. I am a light sleeper and if given a choice, I would rather not have a pool view again. When we were there (the week of NYE 2002/2003), there were folks swimming out in the pool all hours of the night (not just NYE) and they were making a lot of noise (like at 2:00am in the morning). DH and DS and our nephew slept right through it, but I didn't. (I noticed a sign at the "quiet" pool on our last visit that said the quiet pool was closed at 11:00pm and I was wondering if that is how they addressed the noise problem...)

Our last two visits have been woodland views and I really liked those villas. They were nice and quiet which is all I require. One room was on the 2nd floor way on the end and we could see fireworks from EPCOT really well.
Our other villa was on the 1st floor midway down the corridor and we could still see limited fireworks from EPCOT (and we also saw fireworks from the special Sorceror in the Sky fireworks they had at MGM for NYE)

I hope you have an excellant time at BCV. :)

Thanks for the link dc, I scanned through the disboards but couldn't find what I was looking for. The link you gave me is exactly what I had hoped to find.

If you can get in the buildings right across from the main check in area I loved it. It's right across the street from the busstop. Plus a short walk to Olivias & the pool.

Building 14 is nice since the building's shape and layout make a courtyard in the middle. Building's 23-26 are near the Peninsula bus stop, face the golf course, and are a short walk over the bridge to the HH and main pool area.

i have always requested a rooom "area" i like and for the most part, it has always been granted. I think it depends on when you book as well, and specify either smoking or non smoking. good luck!
