Following Red's advice we are going to Seaworld the first full day in Florida - not been before, but keen to see what is on offer, especially the dolphins & manatees.

My recommendation, if they still have them that is, is head for a gift shop and buy a Sea World umbrella. Far easier to use than the blue poncho's, and you'll be the envy of all the shoppers of your home town when you walk around the shops on a rainy day :mexwave:

Beanhead - I absolutely love SW too - we went 3 times last holiday:bounce:
I loved feeding the dolphins and sealions. I absolutely loved the Shamu show - you only get wet if you sit in the first few rows or, if you are chosed to take part in the show. The dolphin shows were terrific too - they are very entertaining. The Clyde and Seamore show is hilarious and will have you laughing without a doubt.
You can go and watch the sharks and other sea creatures in a tunnel with them swimming over your head. In Wild Arstic, you can watch Walrus, Polar Bears and Beluga Whales.
There are rides for you to go on too - oh, loads of stuff.:)
Beanhead - I posted some photos on this site under the Trip Reports a few days ago - there are quite a few from Seaworld.
You will have a blast:clap:

That is a really hard question as there really are loads of great things - probably the Shamu Shows. But then again, I am changing my mind already...........it is so hard to choose.:)

Are your pictures listed as a family name...which date are they from??

hi beanhead, just got in from work, but yeah some people like to do Sea World before WDW or Universal as it breaks the legs in for the walking you will have to do in theme parks........we did this on our 2nd day and the kids loved it..........we grabbed a nice sandwich at the back of the park were the clydesdales are, it was nice and relaxing........they have opened the new waterfront with lots of new shops and restaurants,,,,,,,i am sure joanne did a report on it int he trip section if you have a look there

out of all the pre shows yes its my favourite, on our first visit in 2000 i videoed everything as we did not know if we would be coming back(we did SW as the first park)on returning home i re-booked the villa the next week, thats how impressed we were with the holiday. anyway getting back to the topic in hand, when i watched the show on our return all you could here throughout the show was me laughing at this mime act, the same as the shamu show when everything upto the first 14 rows and slightly beyond got absoluely soaked and i mean soaked. its also freezing cold sea water aswell, after the people at the front got drenched they all legged it to safer climes , why i dont know as they could'nt get any wetter. we sat right at the back best view to video plus could not get wet either as we had been warned by my uncle previously before we left. you've got to go see you will not regret it
