Any pins I should try to get???/

Sorry for another question...we leave in 5 hours!!!!

Are there any pins out there we should try to get this week? I understand collecting "stuff", but never Disney pins....I know it may be hard, no knowing what I'm doing!!!! With the massive numbers of pins out there, just wondering if there is a starting point or something hard to get we should look for. Should we maybe focus on Mickey pins, or princess pins....I know, collect what we like...the rest is gravy. Thanks!

I have a little of everything :) Mickey is my favorite so I have a lot of Mickey's but I also have a couple Stichs and some ride pins... I've heard though, with kids, it is good to pick one thing and stick to it (they do add up fast at $6.50-$10.50 each)

We started by collecting pins of each park we visited (only one for each park, maybe 2 if we couldn't decide!), then we picked one for our favourite attraction in each park. Then we just picked whatever ones we liked character wise :D BF added up how much we spent on pins on our last trip and I had to tell him not to tell me as it would have been a BIG amount :whistle:

When we go back, we'll probably pick a couple of our favourite Disney films and go from there :)

Castmember pins are cool, and so are pins from the other Disney lands...Paris Disneyland, TokyoDisney, Disneyland. You'll find a bit of everything, even a few (quite a lot really) from the DisneyStore!

You could go with a theme. Maybe a different theme for each person. Do you like Goofy? You could try to collect cool Goofy pins. If you have a little princess of your own, maybe she'd like to collect princess pins.

Or, as Scrump mentioned, maybe get a pin from each park. And if you are staying at a Disney resort, you could get a pin from there.

I started by collecting pins I like...there is no point in collecting pins you do not like. I usually collect by favourite characters...so I have mostly aurora, jasmine, megara,Marie, stitch,and treasure planet. Pick only a few themes or it gets crazy. I have 50 pins and I thought that was excessive but my mum has about 120, my sisters have 150 and 100 each. It gets silly. so I would suggest setting a budget for pins and searching for cheap places, for example, a shop in Kissimmee Old Town has unusual pins for $5.99 rather than 8.50 or Belz factory outlet has them for about 2.99.
