I recently found myself planning to repaint my sons bedroom so I went to Home Depot to look for paint and I found that Disney has a line of paint and the paint chips are in the shape of Mickeys head!!! Sooooo. I laminated the ones I didn't need, and made them into luggage tags!! FREE!! Kids loved them! :D

How ingenious! I'm stealing your idea, or are you giving it for free?

This is such a creative idea I'm tempted to move it to the Creative Corner!

I have a bazillion of those paint sample cards! I never knew what to do with them! Thought of wallpapering the bathroom with them, but I know that's probably grounds for divorce.
Luggage tags I think Rick could handle!

Typical! The Disney paint cards in the UK are not shaped like Mickeys head! Just boring rectangles! Cool idea though. Well done dawnflower!

I know this idea was posted a while ago, but I just wanted to say thanks Dawnflower - I made my luggage tags too and they are too cute! We leave in 5 days and I can't believe it. :hehe:

This site inspired a little creativity in me - after the luggage tags, I made a tag to attach to the rental stroller so we can locate it, then I made my kids' autograph books, and next I will let the children help prepare some envelopes for tipping. Thanks to you all for the great ideas! :)

Great idea, dawnflower! It should make your bags easier to find on the luggage carousel! I have a huge, very ugly, very bright pink tag on my checked bag. It's basic black, and I figure most men won't put a pink tag on their bags! There were some really nice blue and green tags available, but thought they would be too common!

Great ideas for involving your children, CindyC! It's great when they can participate in the preparation! :)

Oh, my children love the "hidden mickey" shaped paint cards. They did one of the free kids crafts at Home Depot last fall. They made a birdhouse. So we then proceeded over to the paint dept. to buy them each a couple colors to paint their houses. They of course snatched about 10 of those mickey cards. Once they painted them, I carefully peeled the mickey off the card & then we modge podged the mickey's onto the birdhouses. It looks really cute. They've been outside in the weather for almost a year now & the mickey's are still there!

You may also want to check other home improvement stores. They must have the Disney Paint line. You may also want to check online first...
