Congrats, Lisa!

I'm sure I speak for everyone here in wishing you the best. And I'm sure that, like most young ladies, you have dreamed of your wedding day your whole life. Well, planning your wedding in Disney will certainly add to your memories, and top all your hopes and dreams.

God Bless!

Congratulations,
You are getting married on the same day as us!!!
We have the wedding pavilion booked for 2pm. What time is your ceremony?
Like you we are travelling from the UK and have booked an Intimate Wedding. Our co ordinator is Karen Serrette.
It would be great to know how your planning is going from over here in the UK. Have you booked through Disney direct?
All the best,
Tammy & Bruce. :)

Wow, thank you all for your kind words.

Ahhh Tammy, so you are the 2pm wedding slot then. Blimey what a coincidence that we both use this board and both have our weddings at the same place on the same day. This was the original time we wanted. We are booked in for 4pm on the 15th and I can't wait.

Do you mind me asking whereabouts in Clearwater you are going to be staying?? We were considering Clearwater and the Keys as well.

We are at the moment booked in for 2 weeks at the Pop Century Resort and then we have a further week somewhere. It was going to be at a Universal Resort but the prices are silly money so Clearwater or the Keys is our next option. We are hoping to spend Christmas at Disney and then not too sure about New Years Eve.

We have only booked our wedding today with Doreen at FTW so are awaiting the information pack to find out who we have been assigned to. Yes we did deal directly with FTW only because we have annual passes so wanted to take advantage of the WDW resort rates and hopefully annual pass discounts. We did consider someone like Virgin but they were more expensive and you had to booked accommodation with them so it didn't really work for us.

Tammy if you ever fancy a chat about the wedding just drop me a PM, i know how frustrating it is being in the UK and not being able to talk to FTW face to face.

I don't know John, maybe we could all stay another week or so and attend a couple of weddings on the 15th! :D

Lisa, we will be in Clearwater the first week of May. My sister is getting married on the beach at the Holiday Inn Sunspree (www.sunspreeresort.com). Another really, really, really nice place is the Don Cesar (www.doncesar.com).

Wow! You'll have a wonderful wedding, Lisa!

And you, too, Bruce!

It's really terrific that two couples who don't know one another in person, but have met in the forums, are getting married in the same place on the same day! :)

I wish you all the happiness and magic in the world in your respective marriages!

Lisa,
I had a thought last night about Clearwater. There's really no guarantee that it'll be nice beach weather in December. If you're really looking for something like that, you may want to head further south like the Keys. Even though it's quite a ways away, it's sure to be much warmer and beach like!

Thanks Alexander for the links, will check them out. We did actually consider The Keys, we aren't too bothered about the driving and time to get there as its kind of an adventure to us.

What kinda temperature wise will it be at Clearwater in December then?? Anything above freezing is good to us UK folks in December.

If you want to drive to Key West for Orlando figure on 6-7 hours. (I'm basing that on 3 hours from Fort Lauderdale to Orlando and 3 hours from Fort Lauderdale to Key West). Of course the upper Keys don't take as long.

Weather down here in S. Florida at Christmas time this year was pretty darn cilly. We got into the lower 40's a few nights and there were days we didn't make it out of the 50's. Not swimming weather to me :D
