I am looking for help in finding a hairdresser that will come to my hotel room on International Drive on the morning of our wedding vow renewals in December - can anyone suggest anyone or help me in the right direction? I want a 'messy up do'

Try The Knot (http://theknot.com) under the "local" for the Orlando area. Someone there is bound to be able to tell you of the local people who are good :)

but on the flip side Keith, my friend found out through other "knotties" that her photog was horrible (and could see results) in time to change and get someone better

well can't comment on that particular case but I can say, I've seen some REALLY great photographers absolutely libelled by horrendous comments by uninformed knotties with typical arrogance and self righteousness.
Ok, I've had nothing to do with them, so no personal gripe.. but Ive seen some awful awful comments made about people. There was one lady, her photography is stunning. I mean it's to the point where if you showed me 100 photos, I could pick hers out as being stunning and her "style". She was "picked" on because she shot digital which the clique of knotties considers sub-standard. She lost several jobs and subsequently gave up her business. She posted the emails she got from the knot brides onto the photography forum and they were dripping with venom.
I don't look anymore because the absolute misinformation, especially about digital photography, is beyond laughable.
