Just come out on DVD in UK to very little advertising or ceremony - sad really the new film release used to be something of an event.
Never seen the film before - pretty good really - decent story, beautiful backgrounds and animation.
The squirrels and goats were fantastic!

Yeah there are a few ads on the TV but before there was always a big buid up and anticipation - they used to release the previous years film at Christmas time - and there was always a buzz around the release. Treasure Planet for example was released and we didn't even know about it and trust me we were looking for it.

That's surprising, I think it is a great movie. Bought the DVD the day it came out.

I haven't seen it yet, but the promos looked great. And the moose looked funny, heh?

Joaquin Phoenix does the voice of Kenai :D
I was so surprised when I read this on the end credits, it doesn't sound like him at all :)
I hope to get my copy this weekend

Brother Bear is one of my kids favorites. I have to listen to the soundrack over and over in the car. I also have it on my Ipod and when we are waiting for DD at swim class , my son (6ys) listens. It is only a little embarrassing when he sings out very loudly "just take a look through my eyes". Lets just say that he is not exactly in key. They also love to play "I spy" and only spy a tree. just like the moose.
