Something eerie about the way TOT is lit at night... Gotta go with that

Personally, my favorite after dark is Big Thunder Mountain. As much as I love the Haunted Mansion, it is pretty much the same day or night - since it is an inside ride. But BTM is totally different to ride after dark. More fun. More intense.

I love BTMR, but I voted for the Haunted Mansion because it's so much better at night. CREEPY...

I voted the Carousel - because I just love all the lights in FantasyLand in the evenings :)

Without a doubt, Tower of Terror. Personally, I like going on right as I get out of Fantasia, and I run over to the tower. Because the park is in the process of closing, the line is very short. That, and they shut the gates to the attraction behind you (usually). Overall, just a creepy attraction to experience at night, if only because the only preperation you have for the drop is the feeling of warm air flooding the car, not the usual blast of sunlight that you see during the day.

Donna, I thought you were like me and totally don't do coasters :) Am I wrong? or have I been missing BTR when I could've been going on it?

Keith, you are correct that I don't do coasters. However, I LOVE BTMR!!! To me this is more like a kiddie coaster. Banks, bunny hops, fast turns, but NO steep drops. Ask John! I laugh and giggle the whole entire ride! It is so much fun! And even more fun in the dark!
I won't, FOR ANY REASON, ride Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, but BTMR? Any day!

OOOOOOOOO Thanks Redkop & wdwgrandma ;) I might just pluck up courage and ride it then :)
redkop nope, never done it :) I loathe that feeling that coasters produce that other people seem to like so I stay WELL away from anything that looks even remotely coastery :)

keith i am the biggest wimp when it comes to coasters, in fact the goofys barn storming coaster scares me more than BTMR :)

It takes all the courage I have to ride Splash Mountain because I hate that drop. But I practically run to get on BTMR! It doesn't frighten me at all! Try it, Keith! Heck, even my mom, who hates most rides, thought it was fun! You aren't going to let my mom out do you, are you????

Keith, we are going to be at WDW basically at the same time. I'll gladly ride with you if only to reassure you! It really is so much fun! Not like those big, nasty looping, twirling, twisting coasters you see at the other parks. Imagine it as Test Track with a few humps that you go over - little ones. There is nothing on BTMR remotely as steep as Splash Mountain - NOTHING!

actually.. I havent done test track yet either :-)

Dear, you have lead a very sheltered life. You need to get out more! I am the world's biggest chicken. Honestly. But I LOVE TT and BTMR. I am trying to get myself used to Splash Mountain so that it doesn't frighten me so much. And it's funny. DGD Sara keeps telling me on the phone that she can't wait to ride Splash Mountain! She wants to ride that most of all! And I've only ridden it twice myself!
And, if I have to admit an even bigger fear, I am scared to ride Astro Orbitor! I've ridden it once and was scared half to death! Ok. I'm nervous on Aladdin's Flying Carpets! I hate it when my "carpet" goes all the way up, or if the person in the back seat makes it tilt!

 I'm a total chicken aren't I :)
Well I'll start with BTMR and TT perhaps and see wher eI go from there :)

I'm sure that once you ride BTMR you will really enjoy it! There is so much to see while you are riding it! There's the o'possums, and the fellow floating in the tub, the bats, and the dinosaur bones!
And as far as TT goes, inside the attraction you go over some bumpy things - no worse than what you might normally encounter on a rough country road. You go around a few "hair pin" curves - at like 2 MPH... Turtles saunter faster. When your vehicle goes through the "braking" test, the rear of your car "fish tails" a bit, but when they re-do the test with ABS, the car brakes in basically a straight line. After that you go on the track that runs outside the building. You get up to just about 65 MPH as you zoom around the track. Feels faster due to the wind in your face. But lots of fun!

TT is cool keith, as frandma says a few bumby things indoor and then out on to the track, it goes no faster than 65mph and i am sure you will have driven a bit faster than that
