Having just returned from a wonderful weekend break at DLP I am reminded of the never judge rule. Ive been to DLP many times and always stayed around the lake except the first visit when we went to santa fe. Im not snobby but having read about the cheyenne I thought it would prob. be one Id give a miss to. However, having had a great deal from the co-op (over £200 cheaper than DLP direct), I couldnt resist. So, off we went friday to sunday via eurostar to the hotel cheyenne. Wow. What a lovely place. The cm were so friendly (except the yehaa! every 5 minutes got a bit wearing!!) much better than the DLP hotel where to me they seemed reserved. The whole theming of the place and the peace were a joy. Food was a bit debatable but we didnt starve. I loved the rooms with the bunk beds and the cleanliness was outstanding. We actually walked most mornings which only took 15 mins top to reach DL village, it made me feel I was keeping fit and leaving room for more ice-creams!!
So, i would say to all give something a try - it may not be to everyones liking but it could be to yours.
Just a quick ps. The last few times I visited I was very aware of the pushy French children who seemed ill mannered and rude. This time I am saddened to say it was actually the English. There were loads of them on school trips and they were swearing, spitting, throwing food, smoking, pushing through lines, jeering at the charecters, bumping the cars on speedway infact being right pains. Everyone else seemed really polite in comparison. We ate at the walt disney studios and there were about 25 english schoolchildren aged about 14/15 and when they had finished they squashed all their food around the tables and walked out leaving the mess. A few minutes later they all marched back in again with two security men and a cleaner from the cafe and were made to clean it all up. Their teachers just looked the other way. Quite amusing to see 14 year old boys trying to act big around the girls when theyve got ketchup on their new shirt! :rotfl:

So glad to hear they were made to clean up after themselves! I'm not a parent, but watching the behavior of some of these kids makes me never want to be a parent!

Can't wait to go to DLP again. I probably go in 11 days. We'll stay in a hotel in Paris. It's just a weekend trip. We'll have 2day's admission. I just couldn't wait untill september.

When my son is a bit older I think we will stay in Cheyenne. It's the most kidsfriendly hotel of DLRP
