Ok, we went on this in 2002 I think.. but it was December.

It was given by a lady who used to be a school teacher and hmmmm to be honest, it felt a little like a school outing ;-) we were kinda lectured at and because it was december, she took us for a look around the christmas decoration storage facilities which we'd already seen on other tours actually :/

She missed out the MK computer facility (CRYYYYYYYY) and some other stuff that people say they got to see.

Has anyone done this tour recently? What did you get to see? I quite fancy doing it again with a different tour guide hopefully

I just read Jo's review of this tour and if e-bay brings in enough money I'll do it in December. It sounds awesome!

I can't find "Jo's review" anywhere in the forum, but I did find a really good very recent write-up in someone's blog at http://diary.andyjpartridge.co.uk/index.php?Page=blog

He has a photo of the Soarin' show building behind Canada, it is a stonker.

Funny you should mention it Keith, we're sitting on the fence about this one as well... All the reviews we've read sound brilliant but we just haven't "comitted" yet....Good luck with your decision!

My DW and I did this tour a couple of years ago. Sorry to disappoint you Keith, but we never got to see the computer side of things either...not that it would have made any sense to computer novices like me!

To me the best part [apart from going down the utiladoors [sp?] below ground] was when we were shown the parade floats close up. At the time. each one sported a "hidden Walt" which I bet that no one would notice if it had not been pointed out. It made the parade seen a lot more interesting when we saw it later, being one of the privileged few "in the know"!

Our guide was a girl from Norway, who did an excellent job answering any questions we threw at her.
