Does anybody know if there are any sightseeing tours from DLP to other parts of France? We are spending 10 days at DLP and would like to visit Normandy for a day or two. Is it better to go via car or train? Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks!

i odnt think DLP do any tours, what your best doing is speaking to the people at the train station at DLP about trains to normandy, you could hire a car but i think its about a 2-3 hour drive up to the coast

Thanks for your message. We thought about renting a car and taking our time...which should be more fun and less stressful than a train I beleive. I have been to eastern France a few times and am familiar with the roads. Never been to Normandy so it should be exciting. Thanks again!:overhere:

I'm sure i remember in the Official DLP Brochure you could book a tour of Paris, but nothing further afield, Lanmon.

We are going to DLP for 5 or 6 days in December and were also trying to think of places to visit in the area. This is what I have so far
Apparantly there are many very pretty little french villages and towns all around, even on the disney side of paris, though I cant name any as yet.
I have travelled a lot and I find the most valuable source of information are the lonely planet guides. People tend to think of them for backpackers but they are not, they provide very helpful and honest information about all places of interest big and small, touristy and non touristy. Whereas your typical guide will gloss over the smaller places
If you fancy another park, Parc Asterix is somewhere in the area I believe.
If you were planning on going to Nomandy for a day or two, as in overnight, not much further away (depending which part of normandy we are talking about) is Bruges in belgium. Bruges is very very nice, but I reckon it is about 2.5 hours drive from the disney area.
Anyway, not much information, but I hope this is of some help
cheers

Bruge is closer to 4 hours away from DLP - we usually go to DLP via North Sea Ferries and drive from Zeebugge and with a short stop it still takes that long.
In our pre-children days we stopped with some friends at Bussy St. Georges. They took us to Reims and the chateau Vaux Le Vicomte. Both were not too far away - certainly suitable for a day trip and well worth visiting.
