DLP at New Year

We have booked a 4 day trip to DLP for New Year. Has anyone been for New Year before and if so what was it like? Do we need to bundle up for the cold?

All I can say is - i'm sooooo jealous!!!

We were there this last New Year and had a fantastic time. It is *very* busy, queues are long, but the atmosphere was great. We watched the Fantillusion parade and then went to the hotel lounge to watch the midnight fireworks because the kids were freezing, so yes, you do need big coats! There are champagne bars on Main Street (€12 a glass!). We ate the gala dinner in the hotel and there was a fantastic live band in our hotel until around 1.00am, by which time the kids had flaked and Mummy had hiccups :D.

I want to go too!!!! I'm jalous!!!!!! I want to move to Ile de France so I can nearly live in DLP LOL

That sounds really great Paula, now I can't wait to go. The only thing that is putting me off is the long bus journey from Scotland to France, I think I will need to take a cushion lol. We are staying off-site so I don't know if there will be any kind of entertainment in our hotel.

We are planning to have dinner at the Rainforest Cafe on New Years Day. Will we have to make a ps for this and if so where do I phone? Thanks.

RFC is unrelated to Disney dining. You will have to call the restaurant direct. I can't find my Brits guide to DLP to see if the numbers in there. Maybe Redkop can find his? :D I'll keep looking....or maybe RFC have a website? :unsure:
