Me & my friend, while we probably will bring discmans, still might be bored out of our minds  and want to entertain each other. We'll be sitting next to each other, and her family will be sitting together somewhere else. I'm 17, she's 18, and ive been searching for travel games to play. I know all the car ones... but they don't work for a plane as we don't have highways in the clouds  I even tried to just look up lists of car ones to see if there was something do able in the plane, but most of them are specifically for road travel, and apparently there are very few (if any at all) websites out there about plane games to play. What can we play that'll be a challenge for us... as we're not 5 anymore... but will still be fun? Or maybe those 5 year old games will keep us entertained anyway, you never know!!! throw something at me, what do you guys do?

Yeah, that "license plate" game, or the one where you find letters of the alphabet on road signs and billboards might be a bit tough to play on a plane! LOL
How about playing some Disney trivia? If you have the Disney Trivial Pursuit game, grab a handful of the cards and take them along! Test each other's knowledge of Disney! Or make up your own cards.

I personally like those little $10 electronic games you can find at places like Walmart. There's everything from Scrabble to Yatzee to even Hangman and Tetris. They're cheap and can be quite entertaining. :)

Two decks of cards (different designs to make them easier to sort later) and lots of games! Leu taught me a cool one on our five-hour flight to WDW, but I've forgotten it now. :(
Nab a blanket when you board and spread it over the trays when you play. You'll have to anchor it a bit, but it provides a larger playing surface and keeps the cards from sliding.!
Check the internet for card games. I'm sure there are a gazillion or two! :)

DVD players are always good for flights, I think it takes about 20 dollars to rent 1, and u can always bring ur own. Um... how long of a flight is that? I think its about 4 or 3 hours right? Hmmm, lettme think and get back 2 you.

Only 2 hours!!!!
Our flight is a little over 9!!! But we are flying Virgin and they have the little seat back tv's which are cool.... I made the mistake of taking 5 books to read last time...... Didn't get past the 3rd chapter in the first book, I was far too excited!!!
The tv things were great, they had one screen where you could watch a cartoon plane flying to Florida, it showed where you were, how long you had been flying, how long left to go and also how high you were! :afraid:
I agree with the magnetic travel games, they're good for mindless fun, although don't try the chess one... pieces go everywhere!

2 hours is nothing :) bring a book, listen to music etc :) you'll be there before you know it :)
Are you flying Delta or Delta Song? Song has the seatback TVs

2 hours may not seem long to you but its forever to me! It takes 2 hours to get to my grandmother's in NJ by car and it drives me insane. We once drove to Salem Mass. and it took like 4 hours. Ugh. I can't stand travel!!!
I used to have one of those magnetic games where you had peices for everything, and there was like 10 games in it, you just turned the knob and the board would change. No clue where that is. I think ido have a mini mastermind game somewhere...hmm... wish i knew where they all were.
I flew Delta Song last year and there were no t.vs Cool green plane though!!
But this year it's reg Delta.

ok, its only 2 hours, and u think ur going to get bored! I'm sorry, but that seems like crazy talk! It's a eight+ hour flight (plus bout a 4 hour lay-over) from were i live, and i can listen to music through that!
Neways, I thought of somethings
*Bring a notebook, there are endless games u can play on paper, hang mann, dots, tic-tac-toe (funner when ur bored), and a version of pictionary. U can also write and that kinda stuff. If you get real bored, writing notes back and fourth to each other is v. entertaining, plus then, u can go back and figure out what uve talked about
*Bring a guide book. Even if you've been to WDW a thousand times, its always fun to go through a guide book, and read ride reveiws. Brainstorm were you want to shop and eat, and if u wanna try ne new attractions, or ones that u havent visited in a while.
*As I said before, DVD players are your friends. One dvd will get u through the whole flight!
*Cards
*Archie Comics (read, then swap)
and when all else fails, day dream about ur wonderful trip!!!!

give each other a list of things to spot during the journey like a man wearing a blue shirt or a woman with a pink bow in her hair -you can make them as daft as you like -you never know what you are going to see and the loser pays a forfeit when you get to Disney

Wow, you'd never make it on a trip with us. It takes 11 hours driving to get to our parents houses in the next state!!
And we live 2.5 hours from the nearest Target.
There's some great suggestions here. I think you'll be surprised at how fast the time goes by. AT the airport you can browse the gift shops and look at the magazines at the stands, have a snack. I know I could just talk with one of my girlfriends for two hours on a plane!!

Takes us about 1 hour and 45 minutes to arrive in Orlando from Atlantic City, NJ. I'm just bringing two cds burned with mixed tracks, after both cd's are done, we'll be landing. Just find something to occupy yourself for 2 hours, that's pretty simple.

I so win this one - Flight from Brisbane to Fiji 3hrs, 5 hours wait in Fiji, flight from Fiji to LAX - 13 hours - 5 more hours wait in LAX, flight from LAX to Orlando 5 hours (I think, not sure) - do I win the prize for the furthest to travel! :rotfl:

We play 20 questions with our kids. We each take turns thinking of a Disney Character and see how quickly they can figure out which one it is.

I usually take magazines for myself and I make sure the kids carry ons are filled with coloring books, crayons, stickers books with games small toys and plenty of snacks, by the time we get there they may have played with everything but it kept them content. Then on the way home add the Disney treats in there and the late night flight and we are set to go. :rotfl:

Hate's such a strong word d_dreamer! Envy would be more like - but then I am only a few hours drive from the Great Barrier Reef, a few hours flight from Vanuatu or Fiji, a few hours flight to Uluru (Ayer's Rock) and heaps of other great sights. So it does all balance out....
