Im having a custom wedding wedding next yr for about 20 ppl at WDW, then a reception in the Uk for about 200 pl. We would really like to hire someone to video our wedding for everyone to enjoy.

Can anyone please recommend a videographer as disney has so many to chose from?

As were having a 1wk honeymoon at WDW and then aweek in the Bahamas, does anyone know how long it will take for the video to arrive?

Also does anyone know if i will have to change the format for the UK?

Thanks for all your help a Very Happy EXcited STressed Nervous Bride TO BE! LOL

Hi there Nicci!

Welcome to the forum :))

Quick point on the question, pink on light blue looks so nice but I can hardly read it on my monitor so.. maybe choose some more readable colours :)

On the video front, these folks http://www.stvsweddings.com/ are the ones I've seen most from and they're very good. They book up fast so best to talk to them as soon as possible and UK format won't be a problem as long as you tell them that's what you need. You can ask them how long post-production and editing will take etc and get an idea of when they'll deliver it. ps. I have no ties to that company, so please please don't take my word, check them out to make sure you like their work.

Again welcome to the forum and most of all CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Yeah Steve got the rather wonderful Lynn McKittrick (spelling may be off) who is very highly regarded... I got michelle cook I think? followed by someone else who was equally useless :( and I have the worst time during planning.

I complained and got them swapped as you can tell but it was a struggle. I phoned and I'd say "look I'm planning it all from the UK, I really need someone available to talk to me and show me some options and I'm being ignored" they'd "handle" me and say "oh no I'm so sorry you FEEL like you're being ignored we HAVE to fix that for you" then the next day, back to leaving voice mails and so on.

Anyway, you need to speak to the disney weddings manager. I think his name is Jeff something (I can try and look up his email address if it would help).

The best advice I can give you is, it's America, so you need to be VERY clear about your complaint and how you want it resolved. So you should say something like, "I'm paying a lot of money for this wedding and I'm extremely upset that I can never get in touch with my co-ordinator when I want to. It has gone beyond the point of just tryingt to get her to talk to me more often, therefore, I want an immediate change of co-ordinator, nothing less will do."

Honestly I think some of them are absolutely dreadful. Mine turned up to the wedding in some kind of kagool type red awful looking coat. I said to her "Thanks for getting all dressed up specially for us" (uk humour, right over her head), and she spent the wedding flirting with the Disney photographer.

Anyway it's all worth it in the end and I wouldn't change a thing (except the dreadful disny co-ordinators)

Hi Keith

Thank you, your last post really made me smile:D. I'm sorry you had such an awful co coordinator too, but at least now i know I'm not the only one. The last thing i wanted was for anyone to think i was grumbling unnecessary.

I think I would like to try and change my co coordinator as we are having a custom wedding (only for 20ppl , the children are just old enough to count towards the maxium numbers) and there is still so many things to organize. My partner and i have even joked we need to hire a wedding co coordinator in the UK to speak to the ones in the US for us:rotfl: lol.

If you could find Jeff's email it would be a big help, if not not to worry as in a couple of months we will be visiting WDW.

As always Keith you have been a great help thank you

Hi Nicci
Firstly, congratulations on your WDW wedding. As far as your wedding coordinator goes we have been really lucky to get Lynn McKitrick, she is absolutely fantastic. We are communicating through email at the moment and she is so quick at responding. If you could request her you'll be far better off. It's worth asking! Remember, it's your special day and you deserve the VERY BEST! You shouldn't expect any less. Good luck

got to agree with bec
keith was good enough to warn me to ask for lynn
i did get told off by her cause i sort of bul****ed my way through to her
i just asked to talk to her , sort of as if she was already our co ordinator when i got her i said she had been rocomended and i would like her to do my wedding
i just phoned disney weddings and asked for her by name perhaps i may be worth you trying it and if you get through asking her if you could change to her

just to add here
lynn did call as promised and was very helpfull
some things i had asked for are not offered anymore , like jill had a flautist at her wedding but now they only do violinists

i feel we are being well looked after
i certainly had no one to help me the last twice i got married in the uk
it makes the disney wedding experience that much more special

See I told you my co ordinator was useless, I didnt know the Flautist had been cancelled. LOL
