Hi Tinker
Thanks for all the great suggestions :) , this is what we have decided so far:-
Seating of the Guests: CAN YOU FEEL THE LOVE TONIGHT
Grooms Entrance :SO THIS IS LOVE!
Bridesmaids Processional: SOME DAY MY PRINCE WILL COME
My Entrance: TALE AS OLD AS TIME - because it has a wonderful slow
rhythm perfect for walking down
the isle to
Lighting of unity candle: YOU'LL BE IN MY HEART
First Kiss: KISS THE GIRL
Recessional: A WHOLE NEW WORLD
A big thank you to JR Mickey & Tinker for all their help, I was singing these songs all last night :D , unfortunately I don't have cinder's singing voice LOL.
I just have 1 question, Tinker has suggested the song Something There for the Rose Presentation, but I cant find it on any of my cd's, I know this is a cardinal sin but can someone please tell me which film it is from???

I know this one! It's from Beauty and the Beast - it's the one that Mrs Potts sings about the love between beauty and the beast - "there may be something there that wasn't there before". Siiiiiigh.
Anyway - I never imagined that there are so many bits where you have to chose music for! We are trying to find a song that means something to both of us for me to come down the "isle" to, and for coming back down as a married couple (little butterfly in my tummy!) we thought zip a dee doo dah! - although thats not confirmed yet!
I'd better get cracking with the other songs!

When You Wish Upon a Star (Pinocchio)

I considered Tale as old as Time, but the words Beauty and the Beast, I don't really want to think of my future hubby as a Beast, because im certainly the beauty :D

We've chosen Tale as old as time for the recessional. Just because I play it on the piano all of the time and it's my H2B fave disney song. I see what you mean about 'beast' but it'll be instrumental so as long as you like the tune, the words won't really come in to it.

I considered Tale as old as Time, but the words Beauty and the Beast, I don't really want to think of my future hubby as a Beast, because im certainly the beauty :D I, initially, was also going to choose Tale As Old As Time fror Nicci's entrance , but then I thought of the Beauty and the Beast part and thought of referring to the groom as a beast . :D That is why I suggested Once Upon A Dream or A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes , both slow paced processionals, but I agree that Tale As Old Time is a beautiful song, Nicci . Its Your Special Day, you choose what suits you . :D Happy I could help .

Thanks everyone for all your suggestions!
I originally picked Tale as Old as it a wonderful slow melody, and I truly love the words apart from Beauty & Beast in this case. To me the song represents the good & bad times in a marriage, but I can see everyone else might not think so I'll probably try and fit it in somewhere else, like The Seating Of the Mothers, My MIL is a right dragon so it may be perfect LOL :D . Good job my H2B does not read this!!
Kate I know choosing songs is so difficult, I have 4 Cds of disney music and that doesn't include all of them. Zip a dee doo dah sounds like a wonderful song for a recessional!! :)

Nicci, if you like the song and feel it represents good and bad times in marriage you choose it. don't let other people change your mind. It's your wedding not anyone elses.

I was just going to say the same thing Nicci . Tale As Old As Time is one of my favorite's as well and if you like it stick with it . Your wedding is your special day ! We were only giving suggestions , and my 1st thought was Tale As Old As Time !
BTW, at the MIL processional !

Thanks Bec & Tinker
I wasn't implementing anyone here, it was more my MIL that might get the hump if she thinks I'm calling her son a Beast. There's so many wonderful songs to choose from that I'll probably change my mind a 100 times before the big day!!:)
I'm intending to have the songs played by a harpist so i might listen to a few beforehand and hear what sounds best.

'If I never knew you' is one of my favourite songs too, perfect for a wedding! :D

So, I'm guessing "I've Got No Strings" is not an option?
Just wanted to say that I think the song choices are lovely. Those that I am familiar with anyway. I love the Zip a Dee Doo Dah choice for recessional!
Zip a dee doo dah, zip a de aye (how do you spell eh in that context anyway)
My oh my what a wonderful day...
Can't beat that for sheer exuberance now can you!

I had an all Aladdin wedding.
Bridesmaids and ushers walked down the aisle to - to be free
I walked down the aisle to Aladdin's word
For the recessional we walked up the aisle to Happy End in Agrabah

I know Kate Mum's are very protective over their boys!!
Ive now decided to move Tale as Old as Time to The Rose Presentation. I think it fits more, as the theme of beauty & the beast is centered around a rose.
I will now walk down the isle to A Whole New World as its my favorite Disney song.:)
Ive decided to Have Once upon a Dream for my 1st dance, as it has a wonderful melody for a formal Waltz. I just hope my H2B doesn't step on my feet !!
All I need now is the Recessional Music - I think Kate's idea of Zip a Dee Doo Dah is great!!:)

Hmm, that is certainly a lively reel for the first dance. Not sure I would even know how to dance to it, not that I know how to dance to much anyway.

Nicci your choices are sounding great, good idea with Tale as old as time I'm glad you've put it in.
For the recessional How about 'Be Prepared' or 'poor unfortunate souls'!! LOL:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
No seriously, sorry got carried away then, how about When you wish upon a star, I heard that being played on a harp last Valentines day in the Swansea Marriott Hotel and it made my night!! It's really beautiful. Hope this helps and please excuse my humour:wink:

But isn't anyone going to include "It's a Small World" in their wedding music? Maybe as the dance for everyone to join in?
OK. I'll stop trying to help. :D

i love this thread
can i join in for our wedding please
we have not even started to thing about it
i really think a whole new world for the recesional because it is just that
my favourite disney song is zipedy do dah
and i often sing it to heather and it makes her smile so that would be a nice one too !!
decisions discisions
i would love to have "Mandy " and "Lady in Red" at the cake reception
are these songs known in america and any one have any idea what they would sound like on a violin --if the player knows them --how do we check this
when i asked the co ordinator she suggested we bring them on a cd and she would provide a cd player but some how that doesnt seem the same
just thought of a different one
for the seating of the guests why not " be our guest" from beauty and the beast
i also love colours of the wind what would that be suitable for
i am sitting here on my own , everyone else is in bed as it is gone 1 am
just singing different disney songs
--come to think of it is is probably good that every one else is in bed !!!
we could not decide wether to have normal traditional music at the ceremony but after this thread i have changed my mind and mandy is so good she just tells me to get on with it and sort out what i want

Not sure about the music sheets themselves, but I do know Mandy and Lady in Red are both well known songs in America...I would think LIR would sound *beautiful* on the violin...
The song choices are ALL incredible guys...sounds like we will have a LOAD of magical weddings to hear all about in the near future.
GOOD LUCK!
