..maybe that hangs from a lanyard, with a pen holder? Where did you get yours?

I understand that a larger pen is easier for the characters to handle.

Any other tips or sources on autograph book strategies?

Thanks!

The book should also be large enough that characters can easily write in it. Remember, some characters have a little more difficulty "seeing" the page... Disney sells their own version for about $6.00 all over the parks and in every shop. But you can make your own or buy one at Walmart or someplace like that.

Yes, the bigger then pen the better. Since the "Characters" have such big fingers.
We bought the kids the autograph books at WDW because I couldn't find any anyplace else! It was very frustrating. I wanted to get all 5 grandkids different books so they could tell them apart easily.

A good suggestion is what we did...Have the Characters sign one page of your autograph book and leave the other side blank so you can paste the picture of your child and the character in it. It's really cute!

I just got one from Creative Memories (the square red "hidden mickey" one) and I love it! I think DD's going to use it for her autograph book in this go-round, and put pictures of herself with the characters on the other page. You can also have your name or trip dates embossed on the front - it's really well done!

We've kind of banned walking around looking for characters all day, and will schedule character breakfasts to make up for the obsession. Otherwise, we spend all the time looking for them! :D

I'm doing the same thing MM :) Does Princess K want to join me on my day of character hunting?

Last time we bought a Sharpie pen with us for the characters to use when signing. It's kinda big for them to grip and it dries fast so nothing smudges.

Some of the characters have taken to carrying crayons around with them! I was rather surprised to see that many - if not all - of the princesses at CRT used a crayon.

We noticed that when we were there in 2002...I think crayons only work well for the face characters though...with no padded hands.

We bought a 4x6 album with black pages from Michael's. The characters signed with a silver sharpie and it looks really cooul. We also let the characters sign on one side and later added a photo of the girls with the character on the other.

I love the idea of putting their pics on the opposite facing page. What a cute idea. AS we've gone more & more & as the kids have grown a little older I try to also cut back on time spent in line for autographs for a character you already have from the previous 9 trips! I love the character dining as there is no taking up ride time!

We went several years ago, with nothing but adults, and STILL did the whole character hunting thing! My friend waited in lines with the kids for her autographs!

My friend, whom I also babysit for, is making both DGD's homemade autograph books. She makes the most awesome Memory book pages, so I know the autograph books will come out wonderful. She's going to use Princess paper, and stickers for each page.
