They do, at Fort Wilderness. USCWest and WDWGrandma did this with their two DGDs in June.... That portion of their trip report is here (http://wdisneyw.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27626)

DH and I did it back in Dec 2002 . We loved it . The trail ride was beautiful and the weather was perfect . You also get to see the decorations on your bus ride to the stables . And since your going in Dec ... :D

I know there's an age limit, but Caitie would love to do this...but being only 2, she'll have to do the Pony's at Ft. Wilderness. she'll survive. But you know, I want to ride tooooooo....but I think I'm over the weight limit for the little ponies....

Would this be suitable for a complete novice? My DH really wants to do this but he has never ridden before.

I know that it's just a single file ride, no galloping, just walking. and they have very gentle horses. I'd highly recommend it for a beginner! He'll absolutley fall in love with it! I can't get enough of horses, and I've been riding all my life!

Thanks, Bev. That's reassured me :) . He is so keen to do it that I don't want him to be disappointed.

Well, my two 9 year old DGDs did it in June, and they were both novices!
The horses are very gentle and quite used to having beginners on their backs.

Will we need to book in advance, now, or will it be quiet enough in November to just book when we get to WDW?

I'd book in advance. I have no idea how busy it will be, but they only run several times a day and they only take so many people each time.

Thanks, Donna. Will do that.
It's the one thing DH really wants to do in WDW that we haven't done before.
