With the spotlight on the 50th Anniversary of DL, there is a lot of interest in visiting attractions in the Los Angeles area.
I'm starting a collection of links to attractions in the LA area. If you have any links you would like to add, post here and I will add them in. If you have a recommendation or a review, we can add that in, too.

LMAO DC you could be here doing this for months at a time..
yall there is SO much to do in Southern California..I have lived here my whole life (sans a few years in NY and Colorado) and even I havent done half of the stuff DC is putting up!! literally I could be a tourist in my own state!!
Hmmmm I love LA...

Include the entire state and it's definitely a lifetime endeavour, PA!
When I decided to move from Los Angeles, I took six long weekend trips each year for three years to places in California I hadn't previously visited. And several additional weekend jaunts locally to places I hadn't seen in years. At that time, The Getty Museum was a small (relatively) clock exhibit (nasty hike from the parking lot--no trams) that only hinted at what was to come. Keep promising myself I will visit again one day! :)
Nice job on the links, DC. I couldn't get the Burbank airport Amtrak station link to open last weekend--it just said "Hello there!" Must have been doing maintenance or something!
The only real disadvantage to a southern California holiday is transportation. Although they've improved the availability of public transportation significantly in recent years, personal vehicles remain the transportation of choice.

PA,
Oh ya! There are tons of places to see in LA alone. I figure this is a good start and we can keep adding stuff on. ( We can add reviews and such, too. :) )

I guess that Beverly Hills can be quite intimidating to a plain boy like me. When I was there last, I rented a little compact car, but got stuck in a traffic jam on Sunset Blvd. There I was completely surrounded by Rolls, Mercedes and Jaguars. It was horrible.
Next time, I better rent a fancy car. How much does a Rolls Royce cost to rent?
You know, I do not like the biggest cities like LA, but I have become very fond of San Diego.
